I meant both aspects. :lol

I mean, i'm not expecting Batman to be cross examining Joker or Bane in those sequences :lol
Yeah, but the Joker and Bane are the two villains where Batman just punching the ____ out of them would be useless, as an interrogation technique, lol.

Now, for a guy like Flass, he didn't even have to throw a single punch. And he used Dr. Crane's toxin against the good doctor during the interrogation at Arkham. Those are more accurate to Batman, in my opinion, is what I'm saying, I guess.

#3 after Hobbit and Avengers?

I agree there is somewhat of a ceiling for these films given the fact they are not as family friendly as say an Avengers or Avatar.

Yeah, I've got The Hobbit #1, Avengers 2, and TDKR 3. Those were my picks before the avengers came out.

I wish there was a tracking system for raw ticket sales rather than just money intake. It takes 4 viewings in regular to equal the sales of one 3D ticket at my theatre.

well, the only way there is a dramatic difference in ticket prices were I go is if I see something in the afternoon. My ticket for total recall tomorrow afternoon costs $7.50 but if I was to see it later it would be $10. 3D and IMax tickets costs $15 bucks so not much difference to a regular 2d showing.

I would be very surprised if Hobbit beats Avengers, but we'll see. At this point I think it'll end up
1. Avengers
2. Hobbit
3. TDKR

With Hobbit and TDKR both going $1bn+ but falling short of Avengers.

In London in my experience 3D or IMAX tickets are often double the price of normal 2D.

Very possible. I just feel quiet confident that the hobbit has the draw to out do all other films this year. We'll see starting in December.

Edit: another reason I think it will do so well is it has lotr attached to it, Jackson, Ian McKellen, and it will be shown in IMAX 3D, 3D, and 2D.

That's nuts. Tickets aren't that bad here at all but kc isn't London either.

Your prices would be 50% and 75% sale per ticket. That is a pretty sizable difference, sorry you just can't see it. Other places have even more sizable differences (like where i live), matiness are $4.50, 3D movies are always $16.50.

Everyone sitting

Theater next to me reported 12 million in popcorn/soda/candy sales for TDKR opening weekend.

A commercial size bag of unpopped popcorn probably cost $30.00, if that. :lol

How's that for a profit margin.

Eat your heart out Exxon/Mobil. :lol

Large Cola 5 bucks, Large Popcorn $8.50, I don't really eat candy, but I'm sure its not cheap, lol.

I can see it.

Just think about that for a minute longer :lol

How much work was required from Nolan/WB for them to earn their profits from the making of TDKR.

The movie theater has minimum wage kids serving popcorn. :lol

I understand ticket prices are different. I'm just basing my view on how things are here.

Thats one of the things that made Empire stand out from all the movies I saw as a child. They had Vader and Stormtroopers and some other characters I could give a crap less about at the time. :rotfl

But it made an impression before i ever went in. I support your vision for a theatre. :clap
