Wondering what caused you guys to elicit tears? Lol nothing in this film felt that moving to me. Liked it as a film, not sure How I felt about it as a batman film... Have to think about it...

Loved lots about it , neither of which were Bane or especially Catwoman though...

blake being the next batman is bs. bruce trained for years, but he expects a regular cop to be able to handle being batman?

I was half expecting Alfred to cry again, glad he didn't. Great way to roll credits!

Not immediately, no. He'd need to soak it all in first. Blake had the intensity needed to fill the void. He'd just need proper training imo.

True but who would train him? Bruce had a Mentor but Robin/Blake (still not sure how I feel about all that) does not have an active trainer. That's not Alfred, he's Got the toys but not the skill to use them.

I loved the ending, but I agree with this.

Blake will be the Bratman who will patrol the orphanage administering vengeance upon the Jokester, the Pimpleler, the Cereal Killer and more... Hopefully directed by Michael Bay!!! :horror

I'm glad Nolan gave Bruce a happy ending. Looking at the three films, he really deserved it.

Maybe so, but the "and they lived happily ever after" ending effectively erases the "intense dark and gritty" tone this trilogy was praised to the rafters for by hordes of Nobat fanboys.

Harvey Dent and Rachel actually gave their lives for Gotham. Bruce Wayne retires and becomes a tourist before he's fifty.

'Things were always going to get worse before they got better'

The ending is perfect. It was seeded right the way through the trilogy.
