well I guess this year belongs to the Avengers, now the Blu Ray release will bring it home,

and, I really cannot believe im saying this, but, Avengers was a better movie....

Not yet... It just openned for 6 days in Japan... and officially will pass 1.5 billion this week (if it has not already).. 17.4 million so far.. at least 40 million in a month or so...

There's even a 'Rise' move in there to finish :lol

:lol :lol :lol

Rise little one, Rise. :lol

Btw, my favorite line in the movie is when the Wall Street dude says to Bane that there is no money to steal here, Bane asks "Then why are you people here!?" :lol

Also one of my favorite scenes is when Batman/CW are running to the Bat to escape the rooftop and Bane walks over with his boss pose with his music theme in full swing, love it.

This thread just needs to be closed.

I'm so Batman-ed out lol

Everytime I come into the movie section, it's still near the top with people nitpicking and arguing about all kinds of craziness. :):)

That's a good one. I liked "You merely adopted the dark, I was born in it."

Also one of my favorite scenes is when Batman/CW are running to the Bat to escape the rooftop and Bane walks over with his boss pose with his music theme in full swing, love it.

Yep. :clap

Meh, who cares. Let dev go cry in the terminator threads. :pfft:

In a nutshell, here's why some of us dissect these films: They ask for it.

These are not designed to be mindless Summer popcorn films. They aspire to be much more, and thus they absolutely invite the analyzation and a more critical eye. And it just so happens the more some of us put TDKR under a microscope the more threads start to unravel.

I don't understand why this is a problem. Why does this mean we don't really like the movie or the series? If we didn't we wouldn't spend even a fraction of this amount of time talking about it. At least I know I wouldn't.

TDKR isn't a Transformers sequel, it's a Chris Nolan picture and sequel to an Oscar-nominated film considered by many to be the pinnacle of the genre. It's also a Batman movie. It's going to be measured against these criteria. And for some, it just doesn't quite measure up. That's all.

Fine. But then say you don't like the movie. Because I find it incredibly hard to believe that if you do enjoy the film, you're picking it apart.

Why would you do that for a movie you enjoy? Why not let it be? Discuss the good, or even the bigger bad moments?

It's like, you have a friend, and you enjoy being around this friend, yet you point at all the little things you don't like about him/her as a person.

Sure, the film should deserve to be poked and prodded. I do it too. And even discuss the flaws .

But come on. The last 30 pages have been nothing but "OHMAHGERD PLOT HOLESSS". It's not even fun any more.

It's just...dull. Good points were brought up all around in the beginning. But people are pushing it way too far.

And I ain't sayin things need to be positive. Just not nit picky. Nit picking sucks.

This is my criteria for a movie

If I can answer yes - it was a good film and I leave it at that. Granted there are some films out there that raise a lot of questions or view points that are meant for one to discuss or think about after the film ends.

I do not think this was one of those types of films. And therefore I will enjoy it for what it is - a damn good entertaining film that I will watch again and buy on BluRay. I love what Nolan did with this trilogy and the fact that I was entertained...and moved to tears...and sitting on the edge of my seat is good enough for me.
