Oh yes. All of Difabio's points on Talia and Bane are spot on to the TEE.

TDKR definitely wasn't a movie that you had to ponder at length to "figure out." It was a straight up hero quest and a brilliant one at that.
Oh yeah. But most of those are like, THE first time he puts the suit on.
Im talking about being Batman outside the costume like this;

I mean, theres Bruce knocking dent out and putting him in the closet then 'heads up pretty boy' where he disarms the jokers thug. In BB the fight in the Manor with Ra's, and his training. In TDKR the training and regaining fitness in the prison. Thats Batman to me.
So thats what I mean when Batman isnt in costume, he is still Batman. but alot of people think the costume makes the character, if he isnt in costume he isnt Batman. Totally wrong. Just look at Keaton when Joker goes to Vales flat. That was Batman putting an act on to disguise that very fact.
And this too is Batman!

But yeah, for me, this convinced me that Bruce doesnt need a cape and cowl to be Batman. Sometimes, Batmans costume works against him. Remember this!?;

And as a sidenote, this is the only time I ever liked Superman?

Well said.
I finally got around to seeing this a second time last night. First let me say that I really enjoyed the film the first time. I thought it was the 2nd best of the series after TDK.
However after a second viewing I just could not get over the plot holes, cliches, and downright corny scenes in the film.
If you are going to be an "intelligent" almost three hour films of twisting stories you better make sure there are not glaring plot holes.
Now don't get me wrong I still thought the film was good enough but it is without question the week link of the trilogy.
I also found the film to be overly long. The first two films are long films themselves but the story moves and are always compelling. This film just did not pull off what the other two films did. The scenes without Batman in the first two were just as great as the scenes without Batman. In TDKR the film at times comes to a crawl. Talia al Ghul was really an average character in all her scenes. I was not crazy about her the first time and really hated the scenes she was in the second time.
Robin was an OK character but I much rather would have much rather the film spent more time with Batman or even Alfred (wasted his character in this film) then with him. He was basically put in the film so we could have that last great shot.
Basically it boils down to the fact that we were spoiled by the first two films. It was not a bad film but it was nowhere near the quality of the first two.
And I know we are supposed to suspend disbelief but Nolan himself has always stated that he was going for realism but I am sorry at the end of the film "He didnt get out of the cockadoody car"

I get what you're saying. But to me, when I started to nitpick TDK, I started to not enjoy it so much. Which made me step back and go...OK, wait. I don't enjoy a movie any more that i've enjoyed for years...because of..what?
Little things bugged me. The Joker's hair, lack of blood during the bank scene, some acting, Rachel's fall, weird edits...ect.
Those are things that happen in almost every film ever made. Why should I dislike it because of those?
My only problem with TDK is the last act with the ferries. It drags and drags. And it makes the ending not quite so amazing.
TDKR does drag, but thankfully, in the middle. Then the end is a big action fest.
TDKR has flaws. But I think when you snowball the little nitpicks Vs. the real flaws, it becomes confusing as to what is good, and what is bad.
I hope that makes sense. I can point out a lot of real, actual problems with TDKR. And they aren't nitpicks/
**** Batman. Bruce Wayne IS Batman. I cared more for the man, then the suit.
Talia was great. So was Bane.
Lol, I used to quote that line when people *****ed about a movie, yet staked a claim in liking it.This is my criteria for a movie

Bwahahaha!I loved watching that little ******* get served by Letterman. Both when he was in character, and after, when Dave wanted a million bucks for *********'s stupid little stunt!
