Goes to show that you can only mess up once before the worm turns.

Not that I thought Nolan messed up TDKR.

I'm only happy that he's moving on so that he can do another movie in line with Memento or The Prestige. Don't want something like Inception though.

Not sure if this has been posted but here's a website dedicated to the Aurora shooting.

I plan on purchasing the wrist band and t-shirt. Figured I pass it along here.:wave
Awesome. Thanks for posting that. I'm definitely grabbing the lapel pin.

Damn Blackmask, you sure changed your tune. :lol

If you asked me in June or July who was a "Nolanite" or whatever on here you'd definitely be on my list.

I wouldn't "thank God" that Nolan is done per se. He really did Batman justice and the past 7 years have been great. I agree that it's time to move onto a new interpretation and pass the torch but it was a blast while it lasted. Even if I'm not as happy with TDKR as I was with Batman Begins and The Dark Knight, the Nolan Batman series was an exciting one. One of my favorite interpretations of the character (until towards the end there).

I explained my disappointment and frustration before here, wrote a lot actually,

but, I just feel, this was a Bruce Wayne movie, not a Batman movie at all, that was complete false advertising, this is the Rise of Bruce Wayne and how the Batman saved the city from a bomb. that's the movie we all saw,

I just wish the movie focused more on Catwoman and Batman, their scenes together are barely there, they were so short, Alfred leaves mid- movie, Bruce is like a zombie for most of the movie, it just felt wrong, :monkey2
you have no idea how hard watching this movie was, how disappointed I left,

Dark Knight will always be the best Batman movie made, Begins follows it, this would be the last in the list for me

Oh I think I do. :lol

Agreed.

Well, I only really cared about Nolan because of his involvement with Batman and Batman only but I'll still be interested to see what he has to offer with future films.

Other than Inception, I enjoyed most of his non-Batman films.

But I'm even more interested in seeing where Batman his headed now in film.

Hi everyone ! First time on this thread so... I just saw this movie for the third time and was wondering... What if Talia is not really dead... I mean... The way she "died" is strange, and a lot of people laughed about it, but what if she is not really dead. She is perhaps pregnant after having sex with BW... Like in comic books... Because the way she died is really unnatural...
Bane still alive, maaaaaaaaaaybe. Talia, definitely dead.
She's dead. Nolan is done. Reboot time!!!!
John Blake Batman here we come! :yess:

I couldn't find how much they donate from sales on their website. If it's nothing or some gay amount like 30% it's not worthwhile as it's just *********s looking to profiteer off the tragedy.

That's what I loved about the movie. Bruce Wayne finally realizing he can leave Batman behind him and move forward with HIS life. Fitting ending to the trilogy I think. Being Batman nearly destroyed him...as it would any human. He had super gadgets but he was only human....and he was troubled and in pain (physically and emotionally). I liked seeing this side of the character - it made him more realistic, in my opinion.

I really need to watch this movie, this makes me a little less disappointing

I still say that Catwoman working with Batman should have been longer, scenes of them fighting should have been longer, at least a little, I just wish we got a little more batman in the movie, or at least a detective Bruce, trying to figure out Bane's plan, or something, not the zombie Bruce we got at the beginning :monkey2

I can agree with you there - the Catwoman/Batman scenes were great and it would have been nice to have seen more. I was rather skeptical when Hathaway was cast - but she pulled it off well.

Her little mug shot on the bat-computer console reminded me of your avatar.

Then Buttmunch got torn in half and then in pieces as well.

:lol

:yess: I've had this avatar for 4 years waiting for Catwoman's moment to shine! Thank you for not screwing it up Hathaway! :lol

False advertising? :lol

I can't even begin to count how many times Nolan himself said that these films were about Bruce Wayne's journey. And how this (TDKR) is the end of Bruce's story.

Go see the film again. I know lots who like it much more the second time.

I'm pretty amazed that you would rank the shumaker flicks over this in your list though.

:exactly:

While I am reluctant to say that I'd be enthused with anything Nolan decides to do from here on out, I'm a little bit relieved that his Howard Hughes biopic project isn't happening.

I want him to stay within the purview of thrillers and mysteries, sans Batman and mega-budgets.

While I also remember Nolan stating the films being Bruce Wayne's story, you wouldn't know that by how they were marketed. Hell, even the names don't help. :lol So there's credence to the "false advertising" view. Also, I saw it twice and all the second viewing did was reaffirm all the issues I had with it after the first viewing. :huh

Nope. Instead you want Peter Parker's origin raped and the nerdy kid aspect replaced by a ********* hipster. :cuckoo:

I think you confused me with someone since I did not make a list and i didnt say that either,
the only thing I said before was that the Burton movies are more Batman movies than this Last Nolan one, I Was saying how Batman and Batman Returns are more fun to watch for batman,
Rises is not a fun movie at all, that movie totally drains you,
look at the trailer for Rises, look at the posters, is Batman Batman Batman everywhere,
and I am not hating on Begins or Dark Knight either, those were Bruce Wayne AND batman stories, and they were great, this is not a first movie of a trilogy is the last, I know Nolan's style, and I know how the these movies are, that's why I am disappointed, because I expected better from Nolan,

specially when you take into account this was the last time we were going to see Batman, it left a lot to be desired, this was it, this was the last time we get to see both Bruce and Batman, and Nolan gave us barely any Batman
I thought he was going to make it worthwhile,
if this was going to be Bruce Wayne movie, WHY have Batman in it at all,

that's my problem, this was the last movie, the last time to see Bale as batman, I don't see how anyone else is not more disappointed that Nolan didn't use batman a little more, or make his scenes longer,
