I guess it is true,
Batman could not exist in this world, I guess what Nam and other kept saying how making Batman realistic was a waste of time and not a good idea was true all along,
because then you end up with a movie like this, and plot holes like these, the ones that have been countless times posted, proves that Batman should have been left in the fantasy world

I always ignored Nolan's minimal use of characters, how Two face is only used at the very end, how actually all the villains don't have a lot of screen time besides the Joker and Bane, Nolan loves to under use characters,
but I never thought he was going to do that with Batman, THE Batman,

I think you confused me with someone since I did not make a list and i didnt say that either,

Myabe I'm confused, but it sounded like this was your least favorite batfilm?

Dark Knight will always be the best Batman movie made, Begins follows it, this would be the last in the list for me

:dunno

specially when you take into account this was the last time we were going to see Batman, it left a lot to be desired, this was it, this was the last time we get to see both Bruce and Batman, and Nolan gave us barely any Batman

Maybe not as much Batman, but the batman stuff we had was awesome, and some of the best yet. IMO.

The main Batman Scenes were

Chase scene
Rooftop fight scene
Sewer Battle
Final Battle
Final Chase

To say there was "barely any batman" is a false claim.

I'm interested to see how much screen time Bane had. I loved everyone of his scenes as well.

Rises is not a fun movie at all, that movie totally drains you,

It drains you? I'm not sure how, it's not a depressing film. I felt like a little kid watching some of the scenes. Especially the ending.

I think you went in with unrealistic expectations. Like many.

no i dont want that no name fool being batman. make a freakin comic but not a movie. shoulda named his ass richard gryson instead of fricken robin. lol wow. i rolled my eyes when she said his name.:slap

I actually have a cousin named Robin. It's a fairly common first name. He does go by his middle name though.

As would any sane person with that name. :lol

OH I see, what I mean about the last one is from the Nolan Trilogy, not from all of them together
the list would be, Dark Knight, Begins, and last Rises,

the Batman scenes were really good, but that was the problem with me, it left me wanting more, a lot more, that's why I felt so bad after watching the movie, because it could have been so awesome if Nolan wasn't so into the wounded Wayne story,
you have to remember this movie has the least batman in it, yet is the longest one of the three, Begins had Bruce training to become batman,

it is because of how awesome the Batman scenes in the movie that I am so disappointed, notice you have never seen me complain or talk bad about the Batman scenes in Rises, my problem this whole time is how i wish there were more scenes like those you named, at least 2-3 more batman scenes would have been nice,

or like I said before, even Bruce doing detective work, if they had bruce doing the snooping around they had Blake do, That would have been good enough for me, having Bruce investigate Bane more, finding out what Blake found out,

you know, now it kinda makes sense that they used pics from Dark Knight for the posters,

You also have to remember blackmask that Rises is a film about Wayne's story as well as Blake's story.

Even the title "The Dark Knight Rises" doesn't only pertain to Wayne's journey, but Blake's as well. He will "rise" to become Gotham's new savior, to become Batman.

That's why I never understand anybody that thinks Blake won't become batman. Nolan basically hit's you over the head with it, he will daunt the cape and cowl and continue the batman legacy. And "rise" up to become "The Dark Knight."

i'm thinking maybe you didn't like the film as much because you don't like the Bruce Wayne character. Do you find his scene's tedious and boring? No offense, but much like a kid would. They only wan't to see batman kick ass, they don't care about all the who-ha in between.

That's why I enjoy the Nolan batflicks the most out of all the others. Not only do I get to watch my favorite characters at their best on screen, but I'm completely invested in their story throughout. 89 Batman and Returns are fun to watch, but I find myself not really caring in the middle of the films, I never feel this way when I watch the Nolan films.

That's how I feel too. To me Batman is as much about Bruce Wayne as it is Batman. I thought the two were balanced well. The 80's Batman (aside from the first one with Keaton) were just a little too cartoonish for me. I love this more realistic approach and Nolan's Batman is a far more interesting character.

I love Bruce when he is in the game, when he was training with the League, when he was finding out where the Joker was, when he was working with the bullet fragments, the detective Wayne, I love that, I loved when he was working on his computers finding out about Bane,
that I loved, but we didn't get that in this one either, I guess I hated to see Bruce so wounded, I guess, wow, I, I guess I felt the same as Alfred, I couldn't watch Bruce sulk in his house, or suffering in the prison, I wanted him to be the Bruce that was full of life in the other 2 movies, the detective Bruce,

I don't know, I guess I am going to have to watch it again and again, more than once,

:lol I notice lots of memes like that these days,

I will say Batman trusting her wasn't too far fetched for me. She was scared to death of Bane, not too surprising she sold Batman out to save her skin. The next time he has something she desperately wanted...and by this time I think she realized that Batman was their only hope of saving Gotham and she realized that Batman believed in her. I don't think she had many people in her life that did that. She was used to dealing with schemers and users and criminals....a rather selfish bunch of people who are only out for themselves. That's my interpretation anyway.

That would be my best advice, just go to it again, with a clear head and see how you feel afterwords.

If it's any consolation - I don't think many people "enjoyed" watching Wayne at his lowest...that's what made it so great when he escaped the prison and got his passion for life back. Seeing him wounded is what hit home that he was simply human.

that's something I wish it was different, I wish the last act was longer, i wish Bruce came out of the prison earlier, maybe have him get his passion for life back sooner, because this movie had some perfect moments, everyone was great, it was great to see Alfred, to see Fox, Catwoman was really great too, I guess I wish Bruce got back a little sooner

Or just let it go instead of trying to convince yourself that you like what you're seeing.

If you don't like it, you don't like it. It's just a movie. There will be more. Yeah, it's frustrating, especially if you're a huge fan of the first two and invested so much time into the hype for this one. I know where you're coming from because I have criticisms of my own. But it's not like your experience with TDKR is going to taint Begins or The Dark Knight. Just let it go. Enjoy the things you liked like Catwoman or whatever.

And who knows, some time in the future you may rediscover it again with a different view and enjoy it while people that love it now might watch it again and hate it. Or maybe you won't.

10 years from now, 20 years from now? Who knows. There's no way of knowing how it will hold.

I get that. :duff

Man, I can see why Nam gets into it with Alex_Logan, the guy's a little prick.

By happenstance I was visiting a thread on another site and I saw a long ass post that looked familiar pertaining to the Dark Knight Rises.

****ing Alex_Logan took a post write up I made on here a few weeks back and commented that it was "nothing but fanboy nonsense" and how it's wrong to think how I am. I of course wasn't named and remained anonymous but I still think that's a little strange. Sucks too because I can't even defend myself.

:lol

Using my post for his argument worked so well that some other member there actually commented "that was a damn good post" about what I posted in here. :lol

I really don't understand why that guy hasn't been banned from this site, especially after that stuff with the pictures of old men.
