TDK was still a hot topic in August after release.

TDKR has come and gone off the #1 spot and I don't hear anyone talking about it outside of geek circles.

I mean, what happened? Did... did TDKR balls drop off?

Yeah, they did. In the scripting stage. :monkey1

but parkers origin wasnt raped. and why do you always bring up spiderman in the batan thread.:dunno

As you said it was edited out to be included in the sequel. Last I checked, Peter Parker wasn't genetically engineered to play Spider-Man, but he is in this reboot. Thank you, troll through. :wave

Considering that was never the end, I don't count it as the end.

It may have been the end from a outside perspective, but since I knew there would've been more, Spider-Man 3 was a terrible sequel, that should be forgotten.

And while ASM isn't apart of the canon of the Raimi films, fanboys still consider it an eraser.
That's exactly why people are clinging to the new Spidey though. The third film was THAT bad. It had good parts, but they were few and far between, even for a comic book film. Now, when I say that, I am referring to these types of films in general, which it cannot be denied... have been pretty awful, especially in the past, with only a handful each decade that rises from the ashes.

CP, it's obvious you are harboring feelings of loss over the Raimi franchise. Which is understandable, but pointless. You don't like the new direction? Well, I for one do, as do a lot of others. I doubt any of the new films will be as good as Spidey 2, but you know what... Raimi ****ed himself. Plain and simple. So lay the blame on him, not fans that actually like the reboot. Each franchise has it's fanboys, but don't be so quick to label a simple fan as a Nolanite, Avatard and whatever the hell term is used for ASM fans. Kinda like how people shouldn't call everything "epic."

Anyway, Raimi's first two films were good. However, he couldn't see eye to eye with studio heads on Spidey 3 and that turned out to be professionally compromising for both parties involved. When it came time for Spidey 4 plans to formulate, the same thing was happening again. Finally, Columbia Pictures and Sony said enough and let him go, along with Tobey and Kirsten. Sometimes the film industry is volatile, like a fickle woman. It sucks. That's life. Move on.

In a different world, all movies would allow for harmonious creative freedom. However, we live in the real world, where there are real world disagreements. That said, don't bring down the hammer on other parties simply out of spite. As for the all of these "raving fanboys" and their jackassery, let me quote a line from a film that's relevant to the title of this thread...

"I took Gotham's white knight...and I brought him down to our level. It wasn't hard. See, madness, as you know...is like gravity. All it takes is a little push."

:wink1:

^ That doesn't mean the series should be swept under the rug.

When this new Batman movie comes out, should THIS series be swept under the rug?

You're saying yes.

I don't know what the point is, but I hate ASM, and I hate fans who are silly enough to erase something they once love. Which they did. No one hated those movies back then.

Troll through huh ? Shut up your the definition of a troll/ cyber bully you have no right to call anybody that and last time I checked Peter wasn't genetically enhanced in the movie. For somebody that's supposedly supposed to be older more mature you act like your fifteen blindly throwing around the word troll lol.

Im afraid the spider genetically enhanced Peters DNA.

Spiderman has always been a genetic freak/mutant. Man made ofcourse (well more so in this interpretation)

No, I'm saying... we can't change the past. What's done is done. Yes, we should forget Spidey 3, but not the other two films. I have heard of people trashing the earlier Raimi films, but I don't think it's necessarily because of the reboot, though it might be a combined factor of the failure of Spidey 3. Either way, if anyone is suggesting that the Raimi series is irrelevant then, well, "they've clearly got issues." But it's nothing to hate the newest film franchise over, out of mere spite.

Anyway, Batman '89 was a vanguard and Sam Raimi's Spider-man was its offspring. People who say they should both be swept under the rug need to go back to playing with Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus dolls. Yes, there are things I do not like about Batman '89, Batman Returns and Raimi's first two Spider-man flicks, but I'd be a fool to say they weren't good films.

People that spout that mess aren't necessarily "fanboys." There may be another word for them, but to me it's not fanboy. I'm a "fanboy"... of many things; Batman, Spider-man, Dragonball Z, Resident Evil, Assassin's Creed, TMNT, Star Wars, AvP, Karas, Thundercats. Like I said, I'm a huge fan of certain things. I generally like and admire various "intellectual properties." There are things I, as a person with my own thoughts and opinions, often find myself at odds with, but ultimately, at the end of the day I'm still a passionate fan. That's what I've always felt "fanboy" truly meant.

However, over the last decade, that term has become overused, abused and is now warped into a derogative word, further encompassing a much larger spectrum of what qualifies someone as a fanboy. As such, it needs to evolve into a completely new word. We should meditate upon this...

His father will have tinkered with his genes to make him Spider-Man. The Spider just initiated it. That was the origin that was cut out of the first film but will be expanded upon in the sequels. Also, it would be entirely ironic if I was a 15-year-old troll. Because despite that, at the very least, my grammar and sentence structure denote at minimum, someone who finished high school vs. the above "paragraph" which looks like it was written by an angry 8th grader. :lol

Lol says someone who supposedly supposed to be an older man and spends 24 hrs a day arguing with people younger then him. What u said may be true but if so I'm glad the cut it out and it wasn't in the final movie ergo it doesn't count lol keep tryin.

Your tombstone would read:

"Well, he'd better have those units in the South Ridge repaired by midday, or they'll be hell to pay."
