"Let me watch Avengers for the first time alone on my TV and declare it didn't hold my attention as much as TDKR, which I just watched on IMAX!"

That makes sense.

Avengers was easily the more entertaining movie-going experience, especially with a packed audience. You missed out.

Crowd went nuts with almost all of my Avenger showings.

TDKR, quiet as hell, everyone in deep thought.

lol. I just didnt feel invested. I mean, i went and made sure I watched Cap and Thor. didnt like thor, cap was better than expected.

The film, it just doesnt grab me. I didnt care when coulson died. he was funny but i didnt care. Love the iron man films, enjoyed avengers. but i just didnt feel much for the characters apart from Downey, and to me the real star was Ruffalo. Need much more of his Hulk. he was fantastic.

But at no point did i feel the avengers would lose. I didnt think anything but 'yeah theyll win and be fine'. The alien invasion thing to me fell flat. I never imagined Iron man facing aliens from both his films. I didnt like Loki or Thor. Both actors were great in the role, but i just didnt like Chitauri. Felt weird seeing cap and Iron man fighting aliens. Just, not what i like. It really did feel like Decepticons fighting Marvel.

But I didnt feel as connected to.the characters. BUT, and its a big but, i want more. To me, BB is the weakest of the trilogy, and I believe Avengers 2 will be better and hopefully less bloody Thor-centric. IMO thats one of Marvels weakest characters.

I also REALLY think Garfields Spidey would be very suited, some great banter between Stark, parker, Banner and Cap could be had. But the whole widow/hawkeye thing; didnt give two ****s. Hawkeye horridly underused.

But have faith in the next film. Ultimately TDKR has many.foundations and character development invested from the previous 2.

Thats why you cant compare the two franchises. I prefer TDKR because i enjoyed it more, but i cant break either film down to compare, it would do neither any justice; i dare say theyre both different genre really.

Course it makes sense. same amount of sense in your incorrect assumption i saw TDKR in imax. Saw both films in 2D normal screen. Closest imax is 50 mile away. closest normal odeon is under a mile.

And other people cheering in a cinema or whatever? Who cares.

And this is the beautiful thing about entertainment, everyone finds different things entertaining. TDKR had me gripped, intrigued. I knew batman would brutally fall and then rise, but how would the journey be, The sense of defeat was emotional to those invested in the character, just like bruces rising. Still has faults lets be honest. But ASM gave me a similar feeling of investment. I felt for the character of Peter, i believed in garfields character. Again the film had faults but it kept me intrigued and gripped. I could watch asm another 3 times like i saw it in the cinema, TDKR another 5 times like i saw in the cinema. I coul only watch Avengers once more and then leave it gathering dust. I just didnt feel invested and the sorrow over Coulsons death was deffinitely felt forced for dramatic effect with avengers mourning, but it didnt feel genuine. Bruces 'death' however, characters emotion and sorrow was certainly not feeling forced but felt true and natural.
