I already explained how: Have Bruce come out of retirement to face off against a global threat with the Justice League.

No.

Doesn't really work though, and it'll negate any potential Superman/Batman movies. WB will want to milk this new universe to Avengers potential, and swapping actors with every film won't allow for consistency or real continuity. They need to find someone closer to Cavill's age for Batman who can allow for possibly a Bale return. JGL is perfect for that and fits in seamlessly.

100% Agree. If JGL can pull a bale and get real big, that'd be awesome. Not a complete reboot, but an origin story (somewhat of a continuation) slowly lead into the JL flick and will have an awesome lead.

How awesome would it be at the end of MOS to have, say gordon on top of the MCU, with the batsignal, talking to someone off screen about the events that just went down in Metropolis only to pan over to see JGl dawning the cape and cowl....

JGL: "I'll look into it" :rock

I don't see any way that Bale will be back, and i'm fine with that. He did a great job, but he's done.

As for JGL being badass - I thought he was suitably badass in Looper, and he has serious potential IMO.

A Bale cameo at some point in the future would be awesome though.

Agreed, I think having Bale as batman again will diminish the ending of TDKR and go against everything that Nolan intended for his character.

Superb job! Love it

So awesome.

Gonna be working on something similar once I get the TDKR BR.

'And then I push my hand down on your chest and you go ....ahhhghh...hahahah'

I could get on board with a JL that starts with what is essentially a Grayson/McGinnis Batman played by JGL. I also like the idea of Bruce's Batman completely preceding the Justice League, with Bruce being several years older than the league -- making him almost the original superhero of the DC Universe.

But, if possible, I think Bale should eventually be involved. Perhaps as a mentor like Bruce in Batman Beyond. There's less than an outside chance of something like that happening ... but even bringing him in as an after-credits sequence sequel teaser would be completely badass. Just a phone call between JGL's Blake and Bale's Wayne -- "I need your help". "I told you I'm not doing this anymore."

The only real problem with the Blake Batman being at the center of the league is that there's always the knowledge that there's another, better, Batman out there somewhere. Kinda like the Death of Bruce Wayne comics series. Grayson was fine ... but he was always just second best.

Is there any chance they're actually talking about abandoning the Nolan continuity and casting JGL as Bruce Wayne?

Only Gordon, Bruce, Blake, Alfred and Selina know that though. And really, only Gordon and Blake would know that going forward in the series.

True. I don't think it is an in-story problem as much as an audience problem, though. Kinda like the Joker in TDKR.

Also, with the way some of the League talks to each other, you'd think it'd get spilled to Superman and Lantern eventually that there was another Batman.

Given Batman's the World's Greatest Detective and Blake, unlike Bruce, finally personifying that role, unless they spoke to Gordon, how would they know? Neither Superman nor GL can read minds and I don't see Blake nor Gordon yapping about it.

The League tends to disclose true identities. I know Bruce did very early in the DCnU Justice League ... and he and Clark had the big reveal in the aftermath of Tower of Babel (big reveal was actually in the Batcave if I recall).

So, if that sticks, he'd eventually reveal who he was, and the location of the Batcave. So ... he could lie and say he's Bruce Wayne. Or, he could say he's John Blake ... which begs the question of why he's holed up under Bruce Wayne's old mansion, and where he got the money for all this crap on a cop's salary.

Plus ... somebody's bound to ask about the explosion. "Hey, Blake --how'd you get out of that bomb mess alive?" Or, even worse, ask about stuff from before Blake was even involved ... "So, that thing with the Joker ..." "Yeah ... I was twelve at the time." (You'd think one of them would notice Blake was a little young to have been Batman 14-years-ago, or whatever).

I don't see how they logically get around revealing there was a prior Batman if and when Blake reveals his identity to the League.

I think it will be obvious that there was a prior Batman. I don't think Blake Batman will go around telling Supes etc that he's the one and only.

Unless they brush it off like the Grey Ghost character in BTAS. Either that or it could make for one hell of a JLA sequel down the line with either Blake being kidnapped or some master foe wanting to strike at the JLA and cripple, arguably, their strongest hero, by kidnapping Wayne. Honestly, though, given he's the first hero in this new DCU, I don't think it'll matter much. Plus, given how battered and "quitty" Bale's Batman was, Blake's stands even more of a chance of being the stronger, better Batman, especially with his law enforcement background. Just add in some ninja training and he's the best. :lol

When you order movies through amazon and do the release date shipping, what are the chances of getting it even earlier before that?
