:lol I'm sure a geezer Batman in WB's new franchise would go over considerably better. :monkey1 :lol

True, the most recognizable and popular Bruce Wayne who is over a decade younger than the guy playing Tony Stark would totally bomb. Audiences wouldn't flock to see that Dark Knight guy kicking ass with Superman, they'd much rather see the Looper dude fill the role.

I have to agree with that. Id much rather see Bale return as Batman than JGL. I can't even begin to imagine JGL being a bad ass. If Bale won't return, then on with the reboot. I'd like to see a more "arkham asylum/arkham city" style Batman anyway.

Bale won't be returning without Nolan which means possibly a film version of the real TDKR down the road as both have already stated that's a possibility. That wouldn't work if the "reboot" Batman is Bruce Wayne. As for your comparison to Stark, it's laughable. Stark's not as physically fragile as apparently Bale's Batman is and hasn't quit multiple times. :huh

Bale Bruce quits, he comes back, he quits, he comes back. It's the natural order of things and will work as long as he "comes back" everytime the Justice League needs him. They could still do Chicago/Gotham movies with Blake if they wanted the solo franchise to continue.

Doesn't really work though, and it'll negate any potential Superman/Batman movies. WB will want to milk this new universe to Avengers potential, and swapping actors with every film won't allow for consistency or real continuity. They need to find someone closer to Cavill's age for Batman who can allow for possibly a Bale return. JGL is perfect for that and fits in seamlessly.

I don't see any way that Bale will be back, and i'm fine with that. He did a great job, but he's done.

As for JGL being badass - I thought he was suitably badass in Looper, and he has serious potential IMO.

A Bale cameo at some point in the future would be awesome though.

Superb job! Love it

What a great video...what a great trilogy...Its the tye of video that chokes you up inside wanting more of these films ...or it could make one go out into the world looking for The Nolan Batman haters and stomp em...LOL

Cowl edition was posted from HMV today. Already watched the film twice in the last week when I downloaded a blu ray rip for a friend. Spose a third time, this time with BB and TDK beforehand, won't be too bad.

He might have to. He already left the untrained Blake to deal with the psychos; I question how long he'll last when the psychos start getting super powers.:lol

Maybe he pushed down but bale farted :lol

:rotfl:rotfl:rotfl

Yeah, it can be played with quite a number of ways.

I'd still love to see a The Dark Knight Returns 10-15 years from now, with Bale and Nolan back

99.9% not happening. I know. :lol

Nice :rock well done, very cohesive. :clap

Yeah, he really captures all the great elements.

In some ways, I think that they already did that with TDKR. It seems like the film was an amalgam of sorts. Knightfall, TDKR, Dickens; it was all rolled into one. To the audience, Bruce Wayne coming out of retirement again might not be enough. I'd love it, if they could tell more stories, though. As much as I want a new Batman, it's starting to set in that there's an extremely good chance that this is it for Bale, and that saddens me.

The Dark Knight Rises was basically The Dark Knight Returns.

There is a magazine article where Bale says that he had an idea for a 4th film... but Nolan was like "lol NO I'm done".

Do not want

Do not care :lol

It probably is it for Bale. He had a great run.

Yep, I'm just glad that Bruce Wayne got to live happily ever after FOR ONCE. Damn, even in Elseworlds like Kingdom Come he winds up alone...
