Zach - I was talking about 'The Art and making of...' Book.

But the Dark Knight Manual is also a must have. Both books are the best Nolan Batman books there's been by Far

THE DARK KNIGHT RISES

:lol

:lol

Did I read on this site that there is a spinning totem on the table next to alfred? :lol

I liked Bane's voice and his lines. At first I wasn't sure the first time I watched especially in the opening scene with the planes but it all quickly grew on me. Bane was badass.

Just reading the dark knight manual, on p34 it's talking about the suit(s).

Quote "After five years as batman, my original suit had taken some blows"

Any weight to 5 years or just a book error?

Joker "A year ago .." line disproves it though?

Does anybody know the actual time in BB between the FNO and the League attack?

About 45 minutes...give or take. :wink1:

Sorry, couldn't resist.

I imagine it was about a week or two. Besides counting each daylight and night-time scene as a day, I think the only mention by a character of time going by is when Alfred tells Bruce that the weaponized hallucinogen had him knocked out for two days, IIRC.

That's a major open question I have.

I have a feeling the time between BB and TDK has been re-adjusted following the writing process for TDKR, but i'm not sure - it's something I hope someone asks the writers directly soon!

I wish they would do a timeline thingy like the one in the avengers art book.

Okay, in BB when Bruce returns from Princeton how old is he?

If he is in college I'd say his age is around say, 20-21 then he disappears for seven years, returns to gotham when he is 27. In BB he has his 30th birthday. So maybe 2-3 years course time in BB. :dunno

Things got retconned to fit The Dark Knight Rises.

Saw it this morning and while it does have its flaws I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Might well be the case but is there anything in TDKR that gives us how long he was Batman before the first retirement? (in case I missed it)

Btw I'm such an idiot - I thought my next IMAX booking was for Wed morning at 0040

Turns out it was for Tuesday morning, ie right now - I'm on the bus scrambling to get to the IMAX :lol :slap:panic:

Will miss the first 20 mins :(

to me bane is the best part of the film.
and my favorite part about bane is his voice.
