Saw this a second time today & I'm ready for another round :lol That first Bane & Batman fight was everything I hoped for. I had to remind myself to breath at the end of it. I really really dig that there is no music playing during that fight. Which I think makes it a lot more focused & intense.

I love this film.

i got a question
So alfred knew that Bruce is still alive? Except Lt.Gordon? coz it's odd to see alfred crying on the tomb of bruce when he know that's he's still alive. And who gave the address of the Batcave to blake?

Everyone knew Bruce was alive cause he left them subtle hints that will be obvious to them, Gordon with the Bat Signal, Blake with the cave, Fox with the software, and with Alfred, you couldn't get anymore obvious than that.

Did anyone see the Man Of Steel teaser trailer?

Saw it and thought..... meh. Hurry up with Batman already.

Then again, Bourne legacy, Dredd, Total Recall, expendables Skyfall AND hobbit trailers, aside from the usual olympics, HP environmental leader crap, 5 odeon adverts AND orange telephone adverts, AND M&M's at the red carpet.

Film started at 6pm from a 5.25pm showing. Ridiculous

LOL i really don't like those M&M adverts. They're just not funny and i can't help but think that the people making them know this as well and wonder why they waste they're time on them!

Did you see the advert for the car (Juke?) which is then somehow linked to Batman with absolutely NO plausible connection?

It's just one minute he's getting a car built around him and the next minute we see a shot from Batman Begins with him perched on a building. Hmm

Yeah Nissan juke! Can totally imagine Bruce wayne buying one :slap

What about the Orange advert with Expendables and Jay from Inbetweeners. ITS JUST NOT FUNNY. FFS. So many imbeciles laughing in the cinema about it being funny, ITS NOT.

I saw the bootleg MOS CC trailer and it's much better then the one in front of TDKR imo. That new one for Batman goes to quickly from normal guy, and these very artistic earthy shots to him just flying through the air, I don't like the transition, if feels like sloppy story telling even for a quick teaser which with Zack coming off of Sucker Punch, is discomforting. They should have played the CC trailer instead.

Well at least it ain't that Orange advert with the characters from Rio in it. Some blue bird wasn't it! Ugh! I can't even imagine what would be next

The best one was the Orange advert with the elobarate helicopter escape ans Steven Seagal (sp?)

Fight between Bane and Batman in the sewers was very discomforting. That moment when you realise theres no more hope and then realising that he's Batman and he can do anything.

A great review without spoiling. I always agree with Mark Kermode.

My favorite part of the movie, especially with Batman's Battle Cry right after the gif ends :)

Eurgh, enough with the friggin inception conspiracy theories. Its a different film by the same creator. Not the same film.

They set it up for the past two films. Bruce wanted out. He thought Harvey was the key for him and rachel. Rachel died, dent became two face. The only way Gotham wouldnt need Batman was for Dents action to stand, become the Dent act and Batman to become a criminal.

Bruce couldnt move on from Rachel believing she was waiting for Bruce when the truth is she chose Harvey because Bruce will always need Batman.

Alfred always dreamt when Bruce left the first time, he would see him across the table, with a family living the life he always wanted Bruce to have, because in Gotham City he would never have that. He would never escape his surname, he would never escape the fact his parents were murdered. Every corner he turned his parents ghosts would be with him in his mind.

Away from gotham, Bruce can move on, live the life his family wouldve wanted, the life Alfred wanted.

When Alfred said in BB that they left him in charge of the thing that his parents thought most precious, it wasnt the Mansion. it was Bruce. Can nobody not see that? 'Know your limits', 'thought you was helping people not damn good television', 'youve got a name to uphold', then alfreds speech about saving bruce the pain of knowing that his escape route from Batman was just Bruces fantasy, sparing him the pain of knowing that he wouldnt have a route out, and the only way is what Bruce ended up wanting; to die the hero after becoming the villain.

Bruce realised this, Bruce realised that saving Gotham, rising up batman as the legend, Bane gave the city to the people, and the good people took it back. No corruption anymore, the mob is non existent almost. Gotham doesn need BRUCE as Batman anymore. Selina wanted a way out, she wanted to change. The two connected, the two fought along side and Selina became bruces' escape, Bruce became Seleina's escape.

Bruce remembered exactly what Alfred said; he thought Bruce was dead. He thought he failed Thomas and Martha. Instead, he succeeded; Bruces message to Alfred was exactly what Alfred wanted it to be, It was a message to Alfred that he is moving on now, he is ok, he has Selina and one day a family.

Its not a dream, its not Inception. Its a happy ending, which is rare for Batman after you look in the comics at Silver st Cloud for example. But this film is an End. This is an end that I have wanted for Bruce Wayne since reading comics, but comics would never end. They will always continue to punish Bruce Wayne as batman until he dies. Which is why the ending for me is the most powerful it could be; Because Bruce is happy. Nobody ever has Bruce happy, Nobody has bruce fought his demons. This has. Everytime he starts happiness it comes crashing down but finally.... Bruce can have a happy life. I think some cant accept that of Batman and expects the story to just have him go on and on and on. Idve loved another film or so, but the ending was perfect for me because thats what it was, an ending. Batman doesnt have endings.

Agreed. This is exactly how I received the entire trilogy when the credits rolled. The ending was about as satisfying as it gets. Excellent movie.

Yeah. At first i thought 'hmm...' but rewatching BB and TDK for like, the 50th time, I get it. I get all of it. i get the continuing theme and the story. I get the thought process.

Funnily enough, Am I the only person who watched and was surprised it was finished? 2hrs 40 odd minuets flew by. Its like, I wanted another hour of it, I wanted more.

I had a horrible day at work and also got a head cold, that really kicked in when in the theatre :( So no, 2hrs 40 mins was all I could handle. :lol

We got home and my body almost collapsed with exhaustion. This morning I feel dead. Literally.

Wait, what are we talking about?

:D

Lol my wife is such a Ledger fanboy. Right after she looked unimpressed with the film whereas me and my brother in law loved it. I immediately ask her, which of the 3 was your favorite? TDK instantly. :lol

So even though Blake's name is Robin, he will still dress as Batman. He's going to need a booster seat for the Tumbler

Anyways, the Batman/Bane fights were really well done.

LOL at Batman's desperation by throwing mini explosions at Bane
