So even though Blake's name is Robin, he will still dress as Batman. He's going to need a booster seat for the Tumbler

Anyways, the Batman/Bane fights were really well done.

LOL at Batman's desperation by throwing mini explosions at Bane

Lol he threw everything but the kitchen sink at him in that scene

Blake inherited the Batcave, but I didn't see anything that would indicate that he'd be dressing up as Batman. I'd imagine he'd dress differently and just become Robin, while using Batman's equipment, technology, resources etc. People would assume, seeing the Tumbler, that this new 'Robin' guy was Batman's protege or something.

A great review without spoiling. I always agree with Mark Kermode.

Bane is like just because you did that , I'm going to break your back.

I loved his deliver of 'theatricality and deception - powerful agents' but I'm gonna break you ______ lol

I pretty much thought he would become the new Batman - the symbol of the batman is everlasting, that was part of the entire point of the ending

Nolan is leaving all that up to the viewer's imagination, of course. However, I see Blake being The Batman for one simple reason: He's a symbol, not a person. So he can't be killed. This is a sub-plot that was expressed often going back to BATMAN BEGINS, and was even hinted at several times in this movie, including by Gordon at the end after Wayne was "dead". Blake will be The Batman. And that's kinda the whole point.

But everyone thinks Batman sacrificed his life to save Gotham...they even unveiled a statue of him in his memory. I find it hard to believe people would just accept some other guy dressing as Batman. Yes, 'the Batman' is a symbol, but not in the sense of what he looked like. He was a symbol because of his actions and what he stood for. 'Robin' could easily take over as the new embodiment of that symbol.

I really enjoyed the final battle with Bane when his tubes start disconnecting and he goes into desperation mode and loses his form and just starts throwing haymakers like a rabid animal with the Bats up against the column. I also really liked the first fight when Batman emp'd the lights and Bane talks to him about the darkness right before he snatches that mother ____er up.

4 hours!! Then I can join in. Kinda looking forward to that more than the film :lol

Bane was at his best there.

But did you notice his quirky and comical maneurisms during his speech ontop of the Tumbler, well done by TH.

So Miranda and Bane were on a suicide mission

The first thing I noticed was how fantastic the fight scenes were. Imo Nolan must listen to feedback. At the end of BB's it was laughable that nobody would have noticed the Tumbler and where it originated from. He added that bit into TDK. The fight scenes were sort of bashed after TDK and definitely improved on in this film. Bane was a straight up boxing masher. Love that ____!

Haymakers were awesome near the column

Spoiler tag man!

His speech was fantastic and his tone was perfect. A nice balance of authority and sarcasm. Bane's really grown on me.

I loved that. I loved how Bane just stood there and looked asif to say 'Rhas taught me, and cast me out because im too much of an animal, but you think a small bit of theatricality is going to phase me? Yeah. smart move'

Then Batman turns the lights out and Banes like 'I was born in the dark. My eyes see in the dark. I know where you are so ima just going to grab you by the throat now'

in seriousness, I liked the fact that No matter what Batman did is was pointless. Bane had the Measure of him, and thats what was Nailed with Bane; Batmans desperation was brought to the fore because his adversary was far superior.
