In the long run it will be between BB and TDKR, currently TDKR is winning but I need to give it time and space to settle.

I think you may end up reverting to BB as favourite. A complaint I keep hearing about TDKR is it being too long and having pacing issues, did anyone ever have such issues with BB?

It's definitely NOT too long. It's too short. There are parts which would have benefited a lot from being fleshed out. But as of right now the positives are absolutely destroying the negatives out of sight for me :lol

I don't consider BB perfect either though, there's parts about the third act that are downright silly, so I think fair chance of TDKR retaining its lead but we'll see.

My ratings as of right now:

BB - 9.5/10
TDK - 9.4/10
TDKR - 9.6/10

It's very close :lol

The First encounter with Bane in the Sewer geniunely made me feel uneasy, my stomach went all funny! The groans from Bale and the way he threw absolutely everything at Bane and he just shrugged it off, man it was epic and scary at the same time.

And how good were the "Where is it!!" Screams from Batman at the end. Took me right back to "Do I look like a cop!?"

These were probably my 2 favourite scenes in the film. I love how Bruce isn't afraid at all, going back to Bane at the end. Dude has balls.

I've just been talking about this with a friend, I love how much it ties back to Batman Begins, because I feel like TDK and Begins are completely seperate films if i'm being honest. A lot factors into this. Begins is more 'Super-heroey' if you know what I mean? You don't fear for Batman, you don't expect Rachel to blow up, you don't expect anything bad to happen, I don't find Ras threatening at all being honest and it's like you know everyone is going to ride off into the sunset. So i'm glad begins features more heavily in this.

A good way to round out a trilogy is making many references to the first film. As for the "Where is it" scene, it felt too much like the Batman / Joker interrogation scene in TDK

I will trust all y'all's judgment. I won't go in expecting the best film ever made, just one that is a worthy end to this series.

I saw someone in one of the toy threads saying it had him trembling towards the end. I like a film that can do that.

I'd go,

1.TDK
2.TDKR
3.Begins

TDK is still no.1 in my eyes, but I went into this film knowing that. Not many films will top that for me.

The Peri-Peri Chicken Rises.

:rotfl:yess:

Now I want Nandos :panic:

Yeah both fight scenes were SPECTACULAR.

LOVED the Back breaking ...OMG crazy

And Batman giving Bane back the 'then YOU will have my permission to die'... yeah that rattled my balls LOL

This movie had more stuff directly out of the comic books than either of the other two I felt, and yet it felt NOTHING like a comic book in terms of its tone

Right now what's making me really feel like this will end up my favourite

It's the only one where I felt genuine fear for Batman
It's the only one where I felt genuine pain for Bruce
And it's the only one where I felt genuine sorrow for Alfred, Bruce, and the nature of their relationship i.e. Alfred's desire for a happy life for Bruce

One thing I don't like also is how easily Bruce forgives Selina for leading him to Bane. Why did she double cross him? Because I knew what was coming up I kind of missed what she said to him on the other side of the fence lol.

She gave him a boner. So all was forgiven.

TDK is better but you cant beat that.
TDKR is definitely the perfect ending to the trilogy.
and in most great trilogies the second film is the best.

BB > TDK > TDKR

I didn't like the way you can essentially just take TDK and pretend it never happened. Nolan's incapability of addressing the Joker and his repetitive tellings of Dent's death really made TDK unnecessary. One could watch BB and TDKR and with the exception of the "Joker card at the end of BB," never miss anything storywise. Unfortunately, in him thinking that by not mentioning Joker in TDKR he was respecting Heath's performance, it seems more like he wishes it never happened. I know all the nutbags will wholly disagree there, since they deem the man infallible, but I think down the road, Nolan will regret having zero mention of the Joker in TDKR.

Who knows, maybe he'll go the route of George Lucas and release special editions of these films in like 10 years with new scenes and new dialog as well. LOL

QFT. Agree with all of this. Apart from Dent and Rachel TDK feels pretty redundant.
