Re: The Dark Knight Rises

Then I don't know what to tell you. :lol

However, are you convinced that Bane can be shorter than Batman yet?

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

He's ____ing Arnold!

Even his worse performance is great to watch.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

Then it's settled. Let's see them _____ about Hardy's height now.

Anyone brings it up again and it's death by midget. :lecture

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

You know guys, I'm not so sure about Bane. Hardy is awfully short....

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

I can't wait to see a realistic Bane as an average-sized white guy in a business suit with a luchador mask.

JK. I'm excited to see how it's handled, but it wouldn't surprise me if Nolan went in that direction, and focused more on the manipulative mental aspects of the character. Scarecrow was badass in some of the comics as well as BTAS, but as much as I love Begins, he was turned into an effeminate, shrieking _____, who's high-point was getting tazed in the face and falling off a horse (*looks forward to the Hot Toys figure on the porch.)

:lecture Yeah I was really disappointed the first time I saw Begins. I really expected something else to come in the ending.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

I wouldn't go so far to say I was disappointed but I agree the final act of Begins is it's weakest point.

But I also think Scarecrow was intentionally made to look weak in the final act to setup the theme of 'escalation', so we see the speech about it from Gordon at the end, and then we see TDK.

And then in the begining of TDK Nolan reinforces the escalation theme with scarecrow being dealt with so easily as a little pest - whereas he started off as someone who seemed genuinely dangerous. Demonstrating that things had got a lot worse after Batman stepped in, in terms of enemies and threat 'escalating'

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

Save for Agent you guys make me facepalm.

You'd rather have a steroid junkie than a guy that's actually interesting.

This statement tells me that you really don't know much about Bane. Try to make more informed statements, it usually yields better results.

NYGMA NYGMA NYGMA I'd have to agree with Biojex on this one. I dont think you have read the entire Bane story line up to when Bane breaks Batman. If you had, you would have known Bane used Riddler to test Batman and that Bane had Riddler gunned down. Bane is a lot smarter than you give him credit for. He tested Batman out in every way possible for a year and used your guy Riddler like a chunk of meat and with smarts. Then had him gunned down leaving Batman to rescue him and then have Riddler in a long recovery.

I think Nolan has a good idea picking Bane as a villain. He has a lot of depth to him other than venom and brute strength. You should go buy the entire set of comics and educate yourself more instead of WIKI your information. It would help out in your retorts :D
