It's possible that JGL could play Falcone but I'd be surprised that someone of his caliber and regard especially in Nolan's eyes would play a part similar to something that Eric Roberts played in TDK...

Fair point unless the Alberto role is a much greater one in the context of Rises than Maroni's was in TDK

I guess if they instituted the Holiday Killer angle from the Tim Sale/Jeph Loeb. There is a bunch of mob connections and you could in theory include Scarecrow and Two-Face (if Two-Face wasn't dead) but after having Bane and Catwoman adding in another "villain" even if it's the Holiday Killer which is a better tie to Nolan's original storylines than either of the two before it'd still be a Spider-Man 3 styled overkill having to explain them all...

The Dark Knight Rises Filming In New York City This Week?

The guys over at Batman-News have pointed out a story which originated at "Batman-On-Film" revealing that shooting may start on The Dark Knight Rises as soon as this week.

They are doing a plate shot in a helicopter over New York City this week. Apparently, Chris Nolan wants to get the city with snow on the ground.

Maybe in the post-Nolan films they'll get back to using Ra's Al Ghul. If they ever re-visit the character I hope they also introduce Vandal Savage.

Hopefully they filmed it fast, or there will be a lot of CG necessary to make the snow in NYC not disgusting looking.
