Re: The Dark Knight Rises

I love this poster and remember trying to nab one when it came out from one of my local movie theaters but they already got rid of it:(

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

That last one I actually love because I feel it gives the sense that Batman is imprisoned in his own city or cursed by his own crusade, with the imagery if the bars

I can't wait to see the posters for TDKR

Really curious what colour filter they will employ - I've always thought red, like the red at Dawn, would be fitting

'the night is darkest before the Dawn...'

That fake teaser trailer had the exact colour Ive always had in mind

Although the official logo that was shown at that conference recently was a blueish purple

Everything about Begins was better; the posters, the story and the film as a whole. It is a much better film than The Dark Knight.
That doesn't mean The Dark Knight is a bad film, The Dark Knight is amazing but BB is even better than amazing.

I hope in a way TDKR goes back to the feel and pace of BB, I believe it helped make BB much better than TDK.

I do worry of the potential of TDKR going down the road of Spiderman 3, not in terms of acting or story but the fact that there could potentially be too many villains. Too many villains can make for a very fast paced story, with plot holes galore, and less time for character building and enjoyment of the main story within the film.

Hmmmm...well said, but at the end of the day both are really good movies, I just prefer the action set pieces in BB over TDK.

It's really that simple for me, the action is just better in BB, but the Joker as played by Heath was a better movie villain than Ras.

:goodpost: this is exactly how i feel like, my favorite fight scene in the series is the one in BB at the docks. The sonar fight at the end of TDK, is really cool and a VERY close second though.
but at the end of the day

BB<TDK.

Gotta love that Joker!

Well, I love the Joker but

BB still > TDK

Ok ok fine, how about BB = TDK :lol

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

I preferred TDK to BB. I also love the poster of Batman looking out at the city. That's a great point about the symbolism with the bars. Although the city is alot brighter and more modern looking than I piecture Gotham.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

"Batman Begins" was better than "TDK". The only thing I thought was good about "TDK" was Heath's portrayal of the Joker! Awesome acting!

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

I prefer BB but only slightly

Both are in my top 5 easily best films ever :D

Yeah me too. BB just slightly over TDK. I just loved all the scenes with Lucius Fox showing Bruce all the things he would soon use as Batman. Basically just watching Bruce become Batman was awesome and a lot of fun. The League of Shadows scenes were very cool too.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

The best scene in BB for me is the training scene with Ra's, where it's cutting in and out of the ice training sequence. Lookup 'the will to act' on youtube.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

Batman Begins wins it for me after all this time as it is a Batman film.

Whereas TDK feels more like a crime film with Batman in it.

TDKR has the possibility to beat both.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

While Heath's Joker will always be remembered and go down in the history books as the best Joker. and while the crime drama story was also well done, especially the interrogation room scene, and while the box office performance will also go down in history as something spectacular, 3rd place right behind Poopy Avatar and Titanic.

The action set pieces will NOT go down in history, for me anyways :lol

BB blows TDK out of the water in the action department.

The Bat Bike was cool to look at, especially with his cape blowing in the wind, but the whole Tumbler chase and truck flipping over did nothing for me and the building assault at the end was a bore for me.

I will still be there at midnight for TDKR, nothing will stop or change that, unless I get hit by lighting or a bus of course.

Yeah TDK is a crime epic, and i love it for that

Agreed that BB is better because of the Batman focus.

TDKR - the possibilities... oh the possibilities...

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

while I'm looking forward to the avengers I hope TDKR crushes them in the BO

You realize that if the Avengers gets smashed at the B.O. that it will end the idea of crossover films as well as large team ensembles right? I love both universes and would love to see cameos all over the place. I would love to see Clark ask Bruce for help or Hal talking to Oliver Queen or Barry about something even in passing. Nolan kept his Batman in a bubble because he said it wouldn't work mixing with the rest of the universe, Marvel is claiming that it can work and so far has been successful. The Avengers needs to do well or else you can cross out any hopes of a Justice League film, ever.
