The closest thing I can see to Batman dying is, in the middle act Batman gets his ass handed to him by Bane, nearly killing him. The public somehow witnesses this encounter and Batman is considered dead. In reality, Bruce just gives up using it as the perfect time to retire. With Bruce's hiatus, everyone assumes the Batman is dead and Bane slowly takes over Gotham.

Then something happens to Gordon which is shown in the teaser and Batman is encouraged or needed again. Judging by Gordon's dialogue, something has happened to Batman.

Bruce then goes back and trains we get mirrored scenes from Begins (epic montages of him designing a new suit, doing push ups, working on the batcave) and BAM, Batman's back, saves the city and ____ing beats down big gay Bane.

So yeah, Batman dies and comes back but in reality, Bruce just stopped because he could die if he kept going and perhaps it's better for the Gotham to think he's gone for a bit.

Agreed. But I would add an extra twist for the reason Batman comes back. Bruce finds out that Ra's has comeback as well and is the man supporting Bane with backup from the League of Shadows (Assassins). The final battle is Bane and Ra's vs. Batman.

Bane and Ra's and Batman and Catwoman and Cotillard's character and JGL's character--I can see it now. Let's toss in Scarecrow and a CGI Ledger Joker while we're at it, just to keep things interesting.

they should have rob zombie reboot the franchise maybe he'll stray so far from the mythology that he will have bruce in a white trash upbringing, spend time in a asylum and come out a vigilante....oh yeah he should also be a hobo with a beard.........(ahem rz halloween references)

Notice the white hair? Hmmmmmm... this is the 2nd time white hair has been spotted around Bale's temples while filming...

How much after the events of TDK is this set? Would love if the film's events were spread over a 5-10 yr period

Sorry Void thats not white hair buddy , its just the sun shining on his thinner area of hair , it makes it look lighter .

He looks more like Ra's al Ghul than Bruce Wayne. I wonder if they'll be going for a Bruce training the League of Assassins type of thing, from the comics.

The first pic i thought it was just the lighting, didnt really see any white there, but that second picture, where he's wearing the shorts, it does look like he has some white in his hair. But yeah, i could be wrong.
