Re: The Dark Knight Rises

I think he meant two face did not get enough screen time

Would I have liked to see more two face? Absolutely

But his story arc was done justice overall IMO

To be honest the first time I saw TDK I didn't think he died from that fall. I thought, "Wow, Christopher Nolan did a good job setting up Two-Face for the last one."

EDIT: Oh and I am a chick. :)

Lol sorry! :slap

When I first saw it, I wasn't sure, I felt it was purposely left ambigious because Nolan wasn't sure he was going to do a third, and so he wanted to leave Two Face's fate as 50/50, yet another reference to his duality, leaving it to the audience to make up their mind.

Quite similar to the ending of Inception. If you want, you could believe it was all a dream.

Yeah, I was also in the "he's alive" camp for a while. First, because I didn't realize how bad the fall was, and assumed he'd nbe alive to come back in part 3. Then even when the detailed descriptions of the scene came out, and the description of his body from the script came out, I still held out. Mostly out of willing ignorance.

But, eventually, I had to leave that cave and move on.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

Two-Face is Harvey Dent. So yes, he had a whole movie.

The character did his job.

Not according to him, and you know what I meant. We all wanted to see that disgusting half of his face (and that bad attitude) a LOT more than we did.

Two Face is not Harvey Dent. Harvey Dent becomes Two Face at a specific point in time. I thought this much was obvious.

I agree the character did his job though.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

I agree. Once he became Two Face it was rushed and I didn't buy it at all.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

What else did he need to do? He proved the Joker's point. He was probably going to die any way with a massive wound like that. Probably from infection or something.

In The Dark Knight, he is still Harvey Dent. He's not the comic version where he switches between personalities.

He could have been a crime lord like he is in the comics, and games, and animated series, and every other thing we've seen Two-Face in.

Anyhow, I wasn't trying to derail the thread. How about we start talking about TDK Rises again?

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

I just hate that he went and put on the 2 sided suit in a movie that wants us to take him seriously, as if his face wasn't enough to sell me on the fact that he was psychotic now. :lol

Leave that 2 sided circus suit crap in Batman Forever where it belongs.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

But he wasnt. It wouldnt make sense for his character in the film to be a crime lord. That would be stupid.

You know what would have been more stupid? Harping on a point that was never supposed to be exaggerated on, in a thread it didn't belong in.

Well he certainly wasn't going around killing people before he got burned and the Joker gave him the 'agent of chaos' speech did he?

He may not have been exactly like the comic book two face, but he still had a shift in personality after the conversion.

Anyway.

I love the suit.

I thought it made perfect sense, his suit was half burned and he had no other clothes to wear coming out of the hospital :dunno

:wave

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

I, personally didn't find it rushed. They built him up as dent to show you how pure and honest he is. Then the woman he loves is killed and he gets burnt turning him into a resentful, angry maniac who wants redemption for Rachel's death. Batman kills him before he goes too far.

His death made the movie because of the burden Batman has to carry and look like a killer to save gotham.

Too bad? That's how things work. It's not like this is a new thing. :monkey1
