Re: Batman/Dark Knight 3rd Film

ok i can understand this is for the fans of batman

Actually it isn't. :lol

If you dislike Batman, or the movie(s), etc that's your opinion and you're entitled to it.

Just explain yourself better. Because this:

batman sucks quit making stupid batman movies

Comes off like it was written by some 10 year old kid that got a hold of their parents computer and rushed to randomly post on "teh int3rN3tZ!!1!!!!"

Re: Batman/Dark Knight 3rd Film

Interesting news if you're good at reading between the lines.

Batman 3’ Viral Marketing to Begin Soon?

We’re not sure yet whether Warner Bros. will make some kind of official announcement for Batman 3 at Comic-Con. Probably not, seeing as the film won’t go into production until next year, and it won’t be arriving in theaters until 2012 (which means it’s much more likely to see lots of Batman 3 at next year’s Con instead). But wait! Could Warner still be beginning to ramp up the viral marketing campaign for the film once they do decide to get that process started?

According to io9, Warners has registered several Batman-related domain names – some of which probably have more to do with the Arkham Asylum video game than they do the next film, but then there are websites like BatmanSiegeofGotham.com, WarinGothamCity.com, WheresBruceWayne.com and BatmanGrandElusion.com. Seeing as The Dark Knight ended with Batman ditching Gotham City, it certainly leads one to believe that these sites may have something to do with the next film. Beyond that … there’s not much. Still, does this give us a glimpse at the direction the next film will be heading? Definitely possible.

Re: Batman/Dark Knight 3rd Film

SNES didn't need no blood code (edit: actually, I don't think they had Mortal Kombat 1 at all :lol )!

Ah, the old SNES/Genesis wars. . .were you an Altered Beast/Golden Axe/Streets of Rage guy, or a Pilot Wings/Mario Kart/Final Fight kind of kid? A side had to be chosen.

Yes they did, just not the blood which was a big mistake that they did not make again when they released MK2. Though Genesis had the blood, SNES was a way better import of the arcade game.

Re: Batman/Dark Knight 3rd Film

It'd be interesting if the where's Bruce Wayne site has something to do with the next movie, I think it'd be a powerful story element if things got so bad for Batman that even as Wayne, he had to run away for a time, like Begins, could be nice for some growth story.

Re: Batman/Dark Knight 3rd Film

You know, I'm really liking the sound of those and if they would be hinting towards Batman 3 storylines, I reckon we'd be in for a treat. I think it would add alot of realism to the story to have Gotham and the people in it go totally wacko, aswell as having both Bruce and Batman go awol. After all, the Joker pretty much brought the city to it's knees and it's not exactly like things would pretty much return to normal just at the flick of a switch. It's realistic because like I've always personally theorized, if there was a semi-believable Batman (ie Nolanverse), there would always be a very short time limit on the thing. No-one would be able to be Batman for long because of the exact afore-mentioned reasons. Sooner rather than later, either the people themselves or the criminals, or both, would turn against you in force.

Re: Batman/Dark Knight 3rd Film

After seeing Inception, I really want Marion Cottilard to play Catwoman if Nolan chooses to have the character. She had the right amount of seductress who could turn on a dime and whip your ass. Also after seeing it I CANNOT WAIT to see what he does with Batman 3. IMO if anyone can give us a great third and final chapter to a series, its Christopher Nolan

If anyone can be called upon reliably to make a sensational film period these days, it's Nolan. Everything the guy touches turns to gold, I really do believe he is grossly underrated for the amount of win he's pumped out, while hacks like tarantino who sell out, reap all the credit.*

*disclaimer - yes, yes I just said that - believe it :lol:nana::wave:wink1:

Re: Batman/Dark Knight 3rd Film

Yup, I never even knew Nolan was behind Insomniac until all of the TDK hype, it was starring Williams and Pacino that really stood out about that movie. Prestige was a great movie that probably didn't fair well.

Re: Batman/Dark Knight 3rd Film

Yeah me either, I loved that. The Prestige was agruably just as good too, alot of stuff that hasn't faired anywhere near particularly well, I've actually really, REALLY enjoyed quite recently - I'll never trust the box office or a reviewer again that's for sure. The same thing happened with Public Enemies, a real 'film' in which I hold in great regard and a literal, masterpiece status, was hacked to bits by the box office and by the critics. Obviously not Nolan, but the painstaking detail to the 30's alone is worth seeing it for and I couldn't commend Mann enough for that single fact. I think it'll deadset make more money in aftermarket, DVD and bluray sales, as more people are picking it up when it catches their eye.

Uhhhhhhh...no.

Let's not do the fanboy things where they hang on every word and phrase of a blogger. We all know that most of them don't know their head from their ass when it comes to accuracy of things especially comics and movies or in paying attention to the subtilties but focus on the fact that if this is true it might lend credence to Michael Caine's reporting that they are shooting in April.

Re: Batman/Dark Knight 3rd Film

But what does Nolan say about it?

Nothing. Nor will he until Warner Bros OFFICIALLY announces the Project. I'll expect a repeat of '06... no mention at Comic Con, let a week go by, then BOOM, suck all the attention away from other films post con and announce the film in its entirety. Title, Dir, Writer, Characters, Actors, Synopsis.

I wouldn't be surprised if this info was leaked by Warner Bros in order to keep the Batman conversation going thru Comic Con.

Re: Batman/Dark Knight 3rd Film

JGL as the Riddler just feels too fan created despite what is being reported. I think he'd do a fantastic job but I'll believe it when I see it actually announced.
