No. They'll intentionally overbook the theatre to guarantee a full house and it will be first come, first served. So you need to go get your tent, a clean pair of chonies for 5 days worth of fermenting, dry rations, plenty of water, sleeping bags and camping porta potty and start camping out now to be sure you guarantee yourself a seat. Chances are, the Joker junkies are already lining up as I type this... sans clean chonies as they'll wear 'em till they hurt and will supplant food for cigarettes and their own urine.

I wonder if people will bring Tasers and Pepper spray to get ahead of other people like it happened on black friday

I'm not concerned about how Bane sounds, I just don't want to spend a lot of time going "what'd he say", Bale may overdue the Bat voice a times but I can always tell what he's saying.

Not a huge deal for me, I will either managed to hear what he is saying, or by the next person's line figure out what he said. What I am not going to enjoy is taking my wife with me, and asking what did he say, and missing the next line

It took me an hour and a half to get my tickets on GoFobo.com this morning... and when I finally did, i couldn't log in to my account to check my tickets (all because the system kept crashing due to traffic). Well I got home from work and its the first thing I do... and wouldn't ya know it... it says I only have one ticket when I clearly clicked (and double checked) the box for 2 tickets. I've sent them an email and I hope they can rectify the issue, because if I only have one ticket its going to be useless as my best bud and I are seeing this together. Ugh....

WOW, this thread's surprisingly dead given the viral campaign just started. Guess everybody's dressed up in their Joker jammies fermenting online at the IMAX theatres already.

WOW, this thread's surprisingly dead given the viral campaign just started. Guess everybody's dressed up in their Joker jammies fermenting online at the IMAX theatres already.

I'll be there around 8:30 or 9:00, so about an hour and a half before. If it's crazy, you know, all those ______s mingling about in a long line I'm not even going to bother and I'll go back home.


The types are the ones that ruin the experience. I just want to go in, catch this cool 6 minute preview and be out. No BS, no costumes, no talk, no lines, no yelling, no nerdy ____. Just me, the IMAX experience and those that feel the same.


I wonder if WB will be handing out any cool swag or freebies there. It'd be cool to get some exclusive stuff to go along with my other TDKR swag like my Gotham Rogues football shirt.

Is the TDKR preview for a limited time, or is it showing as long as MI4 is in the IMAX theater? I want to see it ... but I'd rather see it in a couple of weeks when the fervor has died down a bit.

Yeah, starting on Friday it'll play before MI:4 as long as it's at a 70mm theater and MI:4 is playing.

The scene is followed by a montage that includes many images we’ve seen, the most striking includes the Bat-copter chasing down fatigued Batmobiles down the streets of Gotham, and a final shocking image of Bane tossing away a shattered and torn Batman mask into rubble… The only complaint about the 7 minute prologue was echoed by all in attendace: Bane’s dialog is very difficult to understand. Imagine Darth Vader with a very thick accent. Hopefully this will be fixed in the final film. Overall this opening scene is confusing, epic, and will leave audiences speechless. All in a good way.

Fixed and no. I enjoy the movies for what they are, but I also feel they're highly overrated as well. Good Batman films? Yes. Bestest movies evar? Hardly.

Well, remember it probably varies with location. I'm sure folks in the UK have some, ahem, class and etiquette for the most part when it comes to these types of movies. Roudy, "look at me", "look at me", people bother the hell out of me. Hundreds of em? Forget it.

San Jose hosts one of the bigger Anime conventions in the US, which this year had quite a few Bat-genre cosplayers, so that's pretty much what I might have to deal with (or not, if I pass on it).
