Not sure about the title, seems a bit long. But I like the idea. And good to know on the Riddler. I wonder if it will be the Penguin or Catwoman.

I really hope they show us the updated Batcave this time. Can't wait!!!

Its early the title could change.

No Riddler, interesting, and it can't be Croc or Penguin, Hardy's not right. Sounds like its leaning twoard Black Mask.

Not sure about that. I'd wager that they're already printing up "The Dark Knight Rises" t-shirts, coffee cups, and bed sheets. We're long past the age of "Revenge of the Jedi".

Either way, I was expecting something different, not "The Silent Protector" or something cheesy from the last film. It just makes me think of "The Empire Strikes Again", or something that's just not that creative

Kind of dissapointed The Riddler isnt the villain. Was looking forward to Nolan's interpretation of the character. Regardless, now I'm really scratching my head as to who the villains may be (besides Catwoman who I think will be in it). Then again, I really thought Riddler was for sure so who knows what villains will be used.

Yeah, in a graphic novel. Doesn't work for me for a movie title... yet. I'm sure it'll grow on me. That is, until they change it.

My money is on Black Mask as main villain (Tom Hardy).

And I think along with him we'll have a rival mob boss fighting for control, maybe a different take on Penguin? Maybe scarface?

And I think Catwoman may be there as a side character.

The title matters a little. We definitely need to avoid calling the next Batman movie "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Knight", for instance. At that point, it almost doesn't matter how good the movie is ...

I am a fan of the title, it's a nice tip of the hat to TDK: Returns. and I'm putting all my money in the pot of Selina Kyle / Black Mask as the two main villains

The Dark Knight Returns was prolly their default title, but they hedged, wanting to keep ample distance from Superman Returns, and Nolan is shepherding that project too, so the more distance the better.

I'm returning to my original thought, some 2 years ago re: Villains.

Black Mask and Catwoman, hopefully with a dash of Penguin.

Sounds like Hardy will be Black Mask. Btw, credit goes to The Mike for 1st mentioning Black Mask if it pans out.

it won't be that way in Nolan's universe. it will simply be a mask... just like batman's mask... contrast no?
and of course Selina Kyle will play the love interest
