Re: The Dark Knight Rises

My interest in this film has flatlined. Needs an epic trailer to bring it back around.
Not sure if it's the lack of Batman in this "Batman" film that's killing it for me but it's looked meh from the production peeks onwards and barely moved from there...
When I saw the trailer, it reminds me of Jeff Goldblum in Jurassic Park "We are going to see dinosaurs in this dinosaur tour?"

I agree mate and I think you hit the nail on the head with the " lack of batman " thing. I just can't be excited for this one anymore. :dunno
Let's just hope the movie is great despite there not being much hype.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

I agree with void, soon after Avengers WB will start their big push.

I hope they show more of Buttmunch in the next trailer.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

Haters gonna hate and defenders gonna defend. That's how it always is. Seldom is there a middle ground of like minded individuals. You're either this obnoxious, hype crazed fiend, a cynical, trolling "hater" or someone who just doesn't give a damn.

Opinions not valid around here??

Nope, especially if your opinion differs from the majority that refuse to find a single fault with any of this project. Everything is perfect bro ya just gotta sit down, shut up and hide any feeling or notion other than that this will be the "BEST FILM EVAR".

Are you calling me a hype crazed fiend? :lol

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

I agree that it does seem a bit slow. Then again I would flip out everytime I saw something new from the dark knight..but as it got closer to the date there were like 12 tv spots and more and more stuff. I'm going to be happy to see this movie without really knowing what the hell to expect.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

Right now I am still cautiously optimistic. I am excited for it, but not to the degree of TDK. It has a lot to do with the villains unfortunately. I just don't care about Bane. Never have. Not a character I ever liked, which in a way is good as Nolan can do whatever the crap he wants with him and change his character completely and as long as he serves the story (which I am sure he does), changes won't effect me at all.

I am severely disappointed in Catwoman though. Not the casting because I find Anne Hathaway severely hot and she is a fine actress to boot, but that costume is just stupid. Especially for a "realistic" take on the character. Hair out? Hello DNA evidence!

That said, I am more interested in the story of Batman and I think this film will deliver that in spades. I also hope we get a ton of Batman screen time and not most of it as Bruce Wayne. But the thing is Nolan has earned my blind faith as a great storyteller. I know every great director fumbles eventually. But until he does, I will continue to drink the Kool Aid and blindly say "In Nolan I trust".

I will be more excited for TDKR once Prometheus has come and gone. That is getting most of my attention right now.

No opinions, only fact.

The Dark Knight will Rise and you will drop to your knees with tears in your eyes and bask in It's radiant glory.

TDKR will be teh best film evar.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

Me too! I can't wait to find out why Bane has his hands on me! :lol

That's probably one of the sole reasons I can't wait to see this movie. I can't wait to see you get ripped in half. :yess:

I'll be thinking that too, sitting in the theater. "LOL, Buttmunch from sideshowcollectors just got ripped in pieces". :lol

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

Whaaa

I think these are just you companies being toy companies with the crazy extra suits that don't appear in the films

But what's curious is that bat symbol - it is almost exactly like what Neo and I theorised, that in Begins the symbol had wings pointing down (on the BB batsuit), in TDK they were level, so in TdKR they could be pointing upwards on a new suit, also symbolising the 'rises' aspect

If there IS a new suit, I'm pretty sure that's the symbol it will have on it

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

Yeah I really think this is a toy-only design. It could even be from unused concepts.
