You posted your opinion, don't get mad about it now. Just sayin'
Batman Reboot Routes???
- A new trilogy with Batman established, revolving around the Birth, prime, and end of Robin (into Nightwing).
they should go with the court of owls cuz they're quite freaky....
From the beginning, Nolan intended to build a universe where Batman is the only costumed hero. He didn't want to tell a good Batman story that could also be a jump-off for a Justice League story. He intended to tell a good Batman story. Period.
I'm liking this movie more and more as I repeatedly watch the trailer. My initial thoughts were quite negative.
Batman Reboot Routes???
- A new trilogy with Batman established, revolving around the Birth, prime, and end of Robin (into Nightwing).
- Based off New 52 and begins with The Court of Owls
- Combine both since Graysons great grandfather was one of the main owls trying to kill Batman, and he's already dead.
- Have the major sidekicks established (Grayson, Drake, Todd, Barbara.......no damian), and go into it arkham city style.
- stop making Batman movies
In my opinion, they should go with the court of owls cuz they're quite freaky, and their story uses the sidekicks of Batman in a very significant way.
in ancient times crying was very manly, because in ancient Greek culture, men were expected to cry if their family's honor was at stake. One of the greatest signs of true manliness was to shed tears, medieval heroes and even Beowulf himself cried like babies throughout their adventures
Which is amazingly shortsighted and removes one of the key aspects of the character itself. Batman was always the man amongst Gods who could not only hold his own amongst them but beat them and to have him exist in a vacuum and not even reveal that portion of the character's history and being really always bugged me. You didn't have to have a cameo in every flick or stockpile DC characters in his films but at least an acknowledgment of a greater universe or even an off-hand remark about "dealing with the Kryptonian's problems" or "helping the yahoo with the ring" would go miles to establish it instead of Nolan simply wanting to paint in one color.
As for the jump-off point, I guarantee you he could have easily made his films but left the door open for Batman to be amongst others when he was done, it was a conscious choice to do Batman alone and he even told and said he'd help reboot another Batman who could be in a film DCU because of it. Who is to say that a Nolan story couldn't have set the tone for the rest of the DCU? Instead we're getting something that is bottlenecking the rest of the universe because we have to wait until 2014 to get things going (if recent rumors are true and Cavill's Superman will be vacuumed like Nolan originally stated)
