Re: The Dark Knight Rises

It's already being called a reboot. Nolan has already agreed to produce it the same as he is Superman.

I know - I was just laying out my thoughts on the 'hypothetical' chance of Nolan's Trilogy being 'integrated' into the DCU

I know it's not happening, and that, as I summarized, is probably for the best ultimately.

Nolan has said from the beginning the story they are writing mimics Batman where the character exists in a vacuum and there will be no references to any other DCU characters. Now, there people claiming that according to Snyder that the "vacuum existence" is no longer the case but we won't really know until we see the film and from what has been leaked it's not only taking liberties on the character but also doing an origin.

If the Batman 2014 stay "reboot" I have no doubts in my mind it'll be a origin story told with a different actor. Honestly I'm about 90% sure that when TDKR finishes that Nolan's trilogy will be left alone and standalone with none it connecting to any of the DCU's filmverses current plans.

Really hope MoS is NOT in a vacuum. I can understand very clearly why Nolan would want Batman in a vacuum, he is a mortal afterall, but for a character like Superman, putting him in a vacuum wouldn't make much sense particularly as so many of his foes, save for Lex Luthor, are also super-powered or are aliens.

The only purpose having Supes in a vacuum would serve is to accentuate his loneliness and his struggle to integrate with normal humans. But that can still be achieved in an integrated DCU setting IMO.

With regards to Batman reboot - yeah, i'm certain it will be a new actor, but not so sure it will be an origin story. There is no point going through the origin again, Nolan, of all people should understand that. Everyone knows what Batman's origin is, just hints to it via limited flashbacks should be more than enough. Reboot Batman should cut to the chase IMO.

If it winds up a reboot, the director will want to put his own stamp on the new franchise, so like it or not, it'll likely be an origin story like the Spidey reboot (or a sequel will be, like Wolverine). :monkey1

Spoiler tags. Dare I click on them? What's going on guys?! Can't we get back to innocent rants about lolz cats, how Batman could or couldn't exist in the real world, and grown men crying?

I'd be shocked if it were info you didn't know already, but... then again, don't blame me if you open them :lol

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

The first half of Kick-Ass is very realistic.

The second half isn't. Big deal. Nam's point still stands.

Super is better then both anyway. :D

But I didn't post the little girl, I just posted the fight with kickass. Stop trying to avoid the validity of my initial point. Even with all the training and a billion dollar budget, Nolan's Batman is impossible in today's world. Hence why there's no real Batman and he's classified as "fiction." :wink1:

So This, This is what You will want? this is your dream coming True?

That would be good? this is what you dream of at night Nam? :wink1:

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

But, Would that be a good movie? would you have liked that?

and, I mean, When you have Superman, I really dont see how Joker or Penguin or Riddler, How any of Batman's villains has any chance to do anything, he can capture all of them in 30 minutes,

sometimes I wonder how does superman have any enemies at all, he is God, he can turn back time for God's sake,

There's not a drill bit sharp enough to drill through that thick skull of yours to get the point across that never did I say to mention or incorporate Superman into Nolan's trilogy. So why you keep repeating this limp dicked argument is beyond me. :cuckoo:

you're saying to add Superman and Flash and everyone else After TDKR, with Bale's batman, In Nolan's universe
which would suck

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

First Nolan's Batman saved Gotham... now... along with his new Super-Friends... he's saving the Earth from Alien Invaders!

JUSTICE LEAGUE

IN THEATERS S00N

:panic::panic::panic:

You've got to be meticulous when arguing with Nam. If you get a single detail wrong, he will latch on to that completely and derail the entire focus from main crux of the disagreement.

:tap In all fairness, that's not what I was saying at all though. :lol

This is true. You're the first guy I've seen go toe-to-toe with him and not back down. In fact, he eventually just started posting vague arguments and could not respond to a few of your demands regarding B:TAS. So kudos! Always entertaining to watch! Although the fourth degree burn part of your argument was false. There actually is such a thing and is what kind of burn Two-Face had.

Ummm... That video was lame. I got about two minutes into it. Superman is a joke. I feel like he and Batman should be left in their vacuum worlds and let the rest of the DCU team up. Batman is too underpowered as a human being with fancy toys and Superman is too overpowered being godlike and invincible to all but kryptonite.

And I am happy having gotten a Batman series in a vacuum world all on his own. Bring on the reboot I say. Just keep the DCU out of the stories and only have them team up in JLA movies. I can watch Batman that way and just ignore the rest of the series. Batman and DCU fanboys will both be happy then. :1-1:
