Re: The Dark Knight Rises

I guess some of you would settle with two face just having a big scar on his face. I dont know why you guys want batman to be more realistic.

No, I actually like things more fantastical. I'm just saying, in Nolan's world, Two Face doesn't fit like the other villains. I'd be fine if Nolan's world was made a little more "fantastical" where Two-Faces could roam free.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

Thank you, I initially googled types of burns, and most of the sites that I found only listed three. After Nam corrected me, I specifically googled "fourth degree burns" and found examples of those. I am perfectly willing to concede that I got that detail wrong...just as I am perfectly willing to defend that a person with Two-Face's burns could live.

Again, this is not what I said. You're accusing me of exactly what you're doing. What I said was that it was highly unbelievable that he'd be strolling around with 4th degree burns, pain free and without any risk of infection despite being completely exposed to the environment. A little research will show you that victims with less severe burns are completely wrapped, kept in sterile environments where their bandages are change daily because they're highly subject to severe infection.

And then he's suddenly strolling around town med free and pain free?! :lol You see what I'm getting at? Burn victims are in the hospital, in crippling pain or otherwise heavily medicated while going through surgery getting skin grafts. They're not tooling around town, flipping coins and killing people left and right. :lol

Probably around 8-10 hours.

well see he clearly said in the movie "You think i want to survive this"

he was being fueled by rage and vengeance, the infection, he was probably getting really infected, but thats not long enough,

the pain, thats the only problem, the actor didnt show enough pain, thats it, he should have screaming and crying, but he was fueled by revenge, so

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

There is serious adult drama, then there is satisfying.

It's going to take alot for TDKR to satisfy me as much as The Avengers did.

Catwoman has got her work cut out for her.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

Is Bane about to cast a spell? Also, he has jaundice, that's not good. He should see a doctor.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

Just got back from The Avengers(____ing ruled BTW).

It was funny though. People talked and texted all the way through the Expendables trailer, GI Joke ehm, Joe trailer and the Battleship trailer. But when TDKR's trailer came on, the theater got silent in a hearbeat. The only thing I heard was someone saying "is this the new Batman?" People clapped at the end of the trailer. :rock

Pretty intersting IMO.

My theater as well. Weird.

Like every single human being stopped moving. It was weird, but pretty cool. Everyone knew what's up.

People were interested in seeing Prometheus though. That's a good thing.

joss whedon On The Dark Knight:

Joss: “The Dark Knight,” for me, has the same problem that every other “Batman” movie has. It’s not about Batman. I think Heath Ledger is just phenomenal and the character of the Joker is beautifully written. He has a particular philosophy that he carries throughout the movie. He has one of the best bad guy schemes. Bad guy schemes are actually very hard to come up with. I love his movie, but I always feel like Batman gets short shrift. In “Batman Begins,” the pathological, unbalanced, needy, scary person in the movie is Batman. That’s what every “Batman” movie should be.
