Regarding Heat (Platty don't read this till you've seen it)

The diner/coffee shop scene where Deniro and Pacino sit across each other...holy ____...incredible BOX OFFICE acting there, and the dialogue... The TDK interrogation room scene is no doubt a homage to that

Absolutely, two great actors in an amazing face off.

My favorite part's when Pacino explains how he doesn't know how to do anything but what he does and DeNiro agrees and then Pacino says he doesn't want to either and DeNiro doesn't flinch to agree again.

That and the part where they sort of stare each other down saying I will take you out if you get in my way, wow.

Is that to say you're about to put palm to my face and shove me across the room?

:exactly:

No. I'm about to Terminate your ass.

And as great as the TDK interrogation is, it's pretty much all Joker, so I don't find it as WOW as the scene in HEAT which really had a balance of the two guys and felt more powerful. Plus some of the best parts of the interrogation were Batman beating up Joker, and while it suits that movie, DeNiro and Pacino never lay a hand on each other, it's all in their facial expressions and dialogue.

^^ I agree. The above spoiler pertains to Heat, by the way. Not DKR, in case anyone else was scared to look. I was. :lol

:hi5: No worries, brother. I'm sorry if I came off as a little defensive, I'm just having one of those days. :(

:lol:lol:lol

Of course, it's Friday :lol You'd think most of us would be pumped for the weekend but instead become physically drained by days end :( Well, at least i'm speaking for myself :D

Fact: Christopher Nolan is a BIG fan of the movie Heat :wink1:

Yeah it plays out very differently, but both scenes are among my favourite every put on film, for different reasons. Heat because it's two GREAT actors at the top of their games and it's simply electric.

TDK because it sums up Joker/Bats relationship so well:
'You complete me' ... how one is the product of the other, the yin and yang
And showing how helpless Batman is 'you have nothing to threaten me with' in the face of someone who fears nothing

LOL I remember waiting for Blockbuster to open so I could buy their first copy of Heat (when it first came out of course). Big ass clunky 2 VHS set :lol

I don't know if this has been posted anywhere yet, but I went to see MIB3 today and my theater had the new TDKR poster with a QR barcode, and I scanned it, and, well, see for yourself...

:yess::yess: would have been a far better teaser poster for last summer but it still looks awesome.
