Don't worry. If it doesn't work Zack is sure to take all of the blame (whereas if it does everyone will credit Nolan). :lol

What's the word on those scene reviews that guy posted online? Any truth to his concerns for Synder's continued overuse of slow-mo? His scene descriptions got me pumped but when he started talking about that I came back down to earth again.

If it weren't for Goyer, Scarecrow wouldn't have a mask!!! For that, I love that Goyer is involved. And who cares how the script reads if the final product is good? General consensus from Nolanites and Batman fans around these parts seems to be BB > TDK.

I wouldn't call either a mess. Don't get why people get nuts over the third act or the microwave emitter. They complain things are too real. Then they complain there's a silly sci-fi gizmo a villain is using in the movie. Make up your minds what you want! :wave

Thing is the slo-mo thing may for once actually make sense for a character like Superman, given his super-speed and super-hearing etc.

It made NO sense for 300 or Watchmen.

I have not yet seen that particular sizzle reel so I don't know (though even if I did NDAs prohibit me to comment on specifics :( ). But I have seen some cool stuff without any slo-mo stuff. Make no mistake, though, Zack is almost surely going to use some slo-mo in this flick (though maybe not as much as his others).

It won't make sense in any regard for me because it's only always about style.

No. Think bullet time. Or in Jedi Knight: Jedi Outcast? Force speed slowed the whole game down around you rather in the first game where you just moved really, really fast and out of control. It would be interesting to see the world slowed down around him while he moves at a normal speed. If he's slow too, well, then that's dumb and the annoying Snyder way.

Actually, it's not so much a stylistic choice with him. His viewpoint hasn't really been "slo-mo is cool and cutting edge" so much as he really just likes some of his favorite shots to last longer for people. I bet he'd use freeze frames some time if he could get away with it. :lol

Whedon used the same slo-mo technique a couple of times in AVENGERS to good effect.

Tell the jerk I like to decide which frames I like the most. :lol

Seriously though it doesn't bother me if it's in the film but I'm of the opinion it needs to be significantly reeled in from his previous works.

Oh you're not alone there, believe me. I also agree.

That's EXACTLY what I meant. :lol
