I'm not sure how I feel about it if true, certainly unexpected and has me curious how that'd play out.

I can say I sorta called it in discussions over IM with Void (which will drive him crazy trying to guess). :lol :nana:

But honestly, given the nature of the storyline, it does fit and makes perfect sense. :huh

Though I'm honestly surprised Nolan would give the source material a nod like that.

Unless I'm missing something, there's nothing at all that points to what they are suggesting based on the actual information they have.

I KNEW IT I KNEW IT I KNEW IT I KNEW I KNEW IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

is pretty obvious

Heh. That ain't a spoiler. It is a toy-based guess by a guy who writes articles.

Nothing you haven't heard before, I guarantee it.

It wouldn't be the first time a toyline release has proved a major spoiler. Hell, just recently, the Chuitari for Avengers were spoiled the same way despite best efforts to keep them hush-hush.

Totally, I just think variant Batman armor is such a mainstay of the brand that it's really reaching. I would call it a spoiler if the figure was called Azrael or Blake, etc. I don't dispute that the actual plot spoiler could very well be true.

There's also the issue of everything being so quiet around JGL too that lend creedence to this. If it's just a rumor and debunked, it won't effect the overall film. But if it's true...... HOLY PANTSCRAP BATMAN!!!! This ____ just got real!

It definitely goes to show that the hush-hush marketing is working on people. After TDK I didn't think I'd be interested in this at all but even I'm extremely curious how all these elements are going o shake out.

Just showing about 4 different looks for Bruce has me really curious how the timeline of the film unfolds.

Could be true, I guess. What is interesting is that none of the other figures appear to be "toy" variants. They're all a reasonable replication of a character in the movie.

Why would a set like this include a movie-accurate Batman, Bane, Catwoman, Bruce Wayne ... and then one random toy variant, with a wholly covered face (which, to my knowledge, has never appeared in any of the previous TDK or BB toys), newly-shaped belt, and no cape?

Doesn't look much like Azrael to me ... I'd say a cross between Nightwing and Batman Beyond. The coloring makes it look like Nightwing -- blue bat symbol, blue gauntlets. The lack of a cape is like Beyond or Nightwing. The mask makes it look like Batman Beyond or Azrael (I guess). Never liked the Azrael Batman look anyway.
