Re: The Dark Knight Rises

I still love the old rumor of The Penguin as a Russian arms dealer....but that idea's probably long-dead.

I heard that as well and that it was going to be Phillip Seymor Hoffman who I thought would have made an excellent choice.

IN NOLAN I TRUST...whatever he comes up with I'll go see.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

To anyone who believes that story...I have some prime real estate I'd like to sell you. It's a great bargain. :lol

I like the idea of any of those on their own, except killer croc. He doesn't seem very likely in Nolan's world. Bane would be a better muscleman, just take out the venom enhancements and make him a massive body builder/wrestler.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

I dunno...comic origins aside, sounds a bit like that mortal kombat trailer thing with Reptile.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

Wasn't Broken City the one where Batman kept wrecking Croc's new teeth, making them look monstrous?

I thought the filed teeth were in Azzarello/Bergamo's Joker.

There ya go. Never read "Joker" but yeah. I could see the "new teeth" thing being a running ___ick in a film too. Bale's the perfect Batman to keep ____ing his mouth up.

s-h-t-i-c-k ?

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

That's some harsh language, man. You need to clean up your act.

And actually, didn't Azzarello write Broken City?

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

I liked Azzarello/Bergamo's Joker GN, even if Riddler was too much like Kid Rock. Bergamo claims the resemblance to Ledger's Joker is accidental, but I prefered thinking of it as a follow-up to TDK,

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

IN NOLAN I TRUST

that's what i've said since i first saw batman begins
i wasn't sure how well he was going to pull that film off, then i saw some promo shots, posters, etc and wasn't really nuts about the "look" of the film, however once i was in the theater and before bruce wayne even became batman i knew this was going to be my new favorite batman film

then there were pictures of TDK, specially ledger's joker, and i started to doubt the idea of a sequel since most sequels are trash - went into the film VERY paranoid (especially since Indy 4 had come out earlier that year and that was a huge let down) - once again, nolan shattered any doubts i had and i was so blown away by the 2nd film that i didn't even know what to say!

so this time, i'm not getting my hopes up high, but i'm going to trust that nolan will do the right thing, he seems like the sort of director who will either do a film just right or not pick that project up at all (so far)

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

Hopefully the new year brings some new information. Maybe not tomorrow, but this month atleast.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

____ Nolan. I just want him to give me some more Batman films.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

Now that you said that he's making this his last one.

Good going.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

He said it was his last one anyway, so :nana:.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

Why are movies always made in three these days? Nolan should make a fourth one just to break the mold.
