i doubt that this will make a great collectable. a nice one maybe, but it will be tough to make this look spectacular. i think it depends on the rest of the joker costume .

But, is this the face of a collectible?

I don't see why not....I find it creepy and up there with the other Modern Horror characters that SS puts out. Granted it is not a horror movie character....but what the hell....He looks bad ass....like Scarecrow did in the first one...though sadly I guess they did not find him worthy enough to make a figure for him....or maybe someone did and I just don't know about it. I don't collect the Batman figures...but if I did, I would buy one of this Joker. I find him way more frightening than the comic book look of Joker....but that's just me.

Same here.... This is what a "modern" Joker should look like... at least IMO. And not only that, but it's a great storytelling device. At least they didn't just give him a painted up face and call it a day. That would have been lame.

I want a psycho Joker, blood spraying everywhere as he beats Jason Todd with a crowbar. That's the sick bastard I want on screen.... laughing his ass off as he murders children in cold blood. :rock:rock:rock

And as for a possible toy?? I am there already. :duff

I think people may be disappointed with this because they grew up with a much lighter Batman. Either the old Adam West version or the animated series.

I disagree with that, from people I've talked too. They want more of the ass kicking batman than the cheesy lines feel good crap.

I loved the Adam West version for what it was worth. I still will watch that ridiculous movie with the shark repellant from time to time. For that matter, the jack Niicholson Joker has a soft spot with me as well. I am sure there is room for this version as well. After the first movie, I can't wait for this one (and the toy as well).

It's growing on me! the scarred mouth is a pretty cool idea....All I know is Nolan will most likely make one stellar sequel. I love his movies

Love it.

Imagine walking down a dark alley and run into someone with the face and then feel something warm running down the front of your legs and you look down to notice he sliced your gut open and your intestines are laying at your feet and all you hear is a sinister laugh.

Jack Nicholson's version was not The Joker.

It creeps me out. I hope Batman beats the hell out of this guy! I hope we get a HT Joker.:drool
As for Jack N's joker I think his was more comedic will this one will be more demented.

I want the Joker from the Killing Joke or Arkham Asylum. That's how the Joker should be, totally sick and demented.

The joker looks Interesting.

I hope your not kidding about batmans suit being black and grey I hate the armored suits.

I'd rather somebody like Malkovich was the Joker.

True, but Heath could play a very self-centered handsome dandy prior to his disfiguring accident. Makes for good drama when he sees what he's become. I hope they keep that part -- at least in flashback or something since he's already dispensing cards.

I'm all for this darker, more sinister Joker. Maybe I'm in the minority, but I thought Jack Nicholson was an AWFUL Joker. He wasn't the Joker, he was playing an over the top version of himself. That, and the Joker is not fat- Jack was pretty darn fat in that movie- look at how big his butt looks as he pulls himself up that rope ladder on that helicopter. :monkey4
