Thanks I'll let my girlfriend know. :D

I like how Homer has become the new oppositional defiant member of the boards... when the majority of you posts are arguing and naysayings its not a great start.

But the idea that these are worthless characters is pretty ridiculous (IMO). Who didn't have the Endor Trooper from Kenner when you were a kid? I sure as **** did and really dug the figure. Nik Sant was in the movie... so thats kind of a cool nod... and since everything is better in 3's toss in a random figure. I personally only bought the Trooper, but I'm real happy about the figure and think he'll look great among a representation of the Rebel armies.

And whats better for army building than 3 of a type of soldier that have differences? Sure the prices are a bit high, but if you don't want them, don't buy them. No need to bellyache and naysay.

This is my favorite part! I am looking forward to having some generic soldiers on my shelf, and I like that there will be variety! I always thought it was a little lame that the "army builders" in the Hasbro/Kenner line were always identical. These three guys have a nice bit of variety!

How many of us are armybuilders here?

I suppose you could get a couple of sets of these and just repaint the doubles for even more variety...

My wallet and space would not allow for such things... thats another concern for me around getting all three :monkey2

Especially if you mix and matched gear and threw in a couple different headsculpts... thats why the three could be really cool for some collectors.

I liked to army build when I collected the 3 3/4 line, and with the costs of this scale, I think that army building would be prohibitively expensive. Three of each trooper though, that doesn't seem too bad, and if they keep the pace at about one set a year for now, I'll be happy. I worry about all those endless Clone trooper variations though...ugh. I think Lucas was having them switch colors just to keep manufacturers busy!

As far as stormtroopers, I'd probably fall for the three pack of the regular stormtroopers, but then just single figures for Snow troopers and scout troopers. Maybe a variant sandtrooper, but they didn't seem as plentiful as the plain vanilla versions.

if I really want to build a SW army, it would only be storm troopers. no sense getting any rebels, what heroic thing did they ever do before luke and the gang show up and defeat the empire? mostly I can only pose them as dead or captured.
