I'd say it's either Tool or Yin-Yang, because Jet Li hasn't really shown up in any of the filming shots, but they list him on the poster and show him in the trailer, but his trailer shot looks like it's from the first movie so I'm iffy on his participation in this movie.

Just making sure this spoiler tag works first as it will be the first time I try before post my opinion.

I thought it was supposed to be tool, but with him not being in it, I don't think an off screen death would be a great to go out. I'm thinking more Li, as you say because of the absence from alot of the movie, thinking killed by Donnie Yen's character. A small part of me feels, that it could be Lee Christmas. I think this would be a huge mistake if it is, becuase he is a great character, but I have seen little footage of him, and also nothing of he from the on the set photos. Could be possible, but a great shame if it is.

Less swearing and blood doesn't ruin a movie, I really enjoyed Live Free or Die Hard in the theater and that was PG-13, the unrated cut doesn't add anything that changes the movie, scenes are pretty much the same, just with swearing, which is some times overdone. Expendables 1 was probably only R for the gory kills more than anything, but those shots aren't what made it a good movie, take them out and I'd still love it so I have no worries about this one.

I'll never understand how it takes you 9 paragraphs to repeat what I say in like 1-2 sentences. :lol

well i dont understand how if the plot of the film is driven by revenge to avenge a killed member of the team, how does that get a rate pg-13 rating? this is as bad as wehn mortal kombat came out for super ninentendo and they took out the boold and fatalities. will they even show the killing now?

The Grudge was PG-13. :dunno

yah but dont compare pears with oranges, ex2 is suppose to be the real expendables film because now we have a fuller cast with willus and schwarzenegger also van damme and how does having more beef suppose to downgrade it to pg-13 when the first was r

its the snipers guy's fault because they are trying to draw the garbage teenie boppers to watch this film

I blame Chuck Norris!!!

is that really true about Chick Norris because i heard something like he would only be in the film if the dialogue was cleaner so the gave him to him but it was some rough transation from a foreign interview

It's apples to oranges, FYI. And I'm not. The Grudge's entire plot is based around revenge (the dead on the living), and it was PG-13. The Walking Dead is on basic cable and getting away with significant amounts of gore (more than MANY R-rated horror flicks have). So really, it's only being unable to say the F-word more than once.

With the exception of F-bombs (and they're allowed to say it 1 time), I really don't see how this will effect anything. :dunno

It won't effect my butt being in the seat come release day. It's just...ya know...something that will be missing. Not so much the language, couldn't care less about that, but the gooey bits flying, is always fun.

It's 80 styles action, ya gotta have the gooey bits!

At the end of the day I'm in it for the characters...and with this cast there's no way I'm missing it.

Rated R as Nam pointed out is about swearing and gratuitous violence as well as anything beyond a butt nudity. I don't think it'll really affect the movie too much and it opens up the market for young boys to see it legitimately. What appealed to us about 80s movies in terms of ____ blowing up still appeals to them and I'm sure they want that segment of the market.
