I would have thought it was obvious! The silhouette is clearly Gandalf.
Oh yeah, duh! LOLSideshow Andy said:I would have thought it was obvious! The silhouette is clearly Gandalf.

...I'm still willing to take a friendly 'I told you so' wager on this though!

MR is killing me with their releases this month (4 Star Corps, Shock, Spec. Ops, Obi Elite, Vader SE next month).
Add in the SS Vader, SS Han, SS/W Mumak, Weta Kong v. Rex, and the Predator Flexpayments beginning Feb. 2 and it's easily my most expensive 2 month period ever.
Damn, I also want that Cinemaquette T-800, but it will have to wait a while.
I Just noticed this as well...What I thought was a long bow is a sword...This is most definitely Aragorn as Strider (Ranger) ...There is not a doubt in my mind now. It has his blanket and bow/quiver/arrows, scabbard adn sword.tomandshell said:Looking at the silhouette, it seems that there is a short bow strapped to the quiver, poking out on both the right and left sides, with an arrow poking out on the right. What I first thought was the shadow of a large bow now seems to be the shadow of a large sword, drawn from the visible scabbard and held up with the right arm, crossing the chest to lift the sword on his left side. Seems more like Aragorn to me now.
I certainly still hope this is Faramir, but I guess that since this is more of a line for the masses, then Aragorn is the safer choice for Sideshow to kick things off with. I guess that since the 1/4 line is for the more hardcore collectors they felt safe starting creatively, with somebody other than the typical Aragorn, Legolas, or Gandalf. The affordable 12" line can have a more predictable start, and show that they can do a character that has been over-merchandised--but produce him better than anybody has seen before. Give the public their Aragorn, but give me my Faramir sooner rather than later, and I'll be happy.
