Just another example of bad writing.

You're obviously free to not like/hate the movie. You're free to post your opinion and free to post it as many times and in as many threads as you wish. I'm genuinely curious as to what the purpose/motivation is to do it over and over. What exactly (for you specifically) is the point? I'm seriously asking and am definitely not trying to tell you to STFU. What does it accomplish for you?

During an interview with GQ Magazine, ‘Star Wars’ star Oscar Isaac revealed that ace pilot Poe Dameron was originally offed during the first half of ‘The Force Awakens’.

I wonder if he was rewrote into the 2nd half of the movie, where he suddenly appeared with the resistance.

I think he was rewritten into the 2nd half of the movie. It doesn't make sense that after the crash Poe wouldn't have looked for Finn, just as Finn tried to find Poe and stopped after he thought he was in the Tie that sunk into the sand.

Which might explain his seemingly mysterious disappearance after the crash, and then reappearance.

Just another example of bad writing.

Or fly by your @ss movie making. It's been rumored that Phasma was also a late addition to the story, which would explain her limited importance to the story so far. Whether trying to advance an agenda, interference by Disney executives or Abrams lack of conviction in what he wanted to do, the movie while immediately entertaining starts to become more disappointing the more I think about it. We can hope it gets better, but it has to overcome the poor foundation that EP 7 provided and whatever forces were responsible for it.

There were lots of things wrong with TFA and if people want to focus on those that's up to them, but in my opinion they got the biggest thing of all completely right - the characters. Rey, Finn, Poe, BB8 and Kylo Ren are fun, intriguing and make you want to spend time with them. That's the best foundation of all for the next two films. Story can be fixed but if these characters had been boring that would have been it.

So during Kylo's battle near the end, he kept punching his wound. I assume he was using his own pain for strength? He has much to learn :) Use others pain not your own. Still will be interesting to see him develop. He also does not have sith eyes (yet anyway). I wonder if they will incorporate that. They never really said that Snoke was a sith right? They follow the dark side, but are not necessarily Sith.

I agree the characters were likeable. But they need to give them more time to interact in order to establish believable relationships, instead of using their interactions as brief breaks between action scenes.

isn't that a SW thing...relationships and bonds formed based on circumstance then built over time?

Yes....just wanted to see a little more building than what there was in this film. :lol Plus, given JJ's track record with Star Trek this isn't a given to happen.

He's not directing ep8! :lol I hope they changed the writer as well.

Developing Poe a bit more would have made the starfight more meaningful, with someone other than BB8 to follow. Still felt that battle was a bit weak. Luke and young Anakin were overcoming all kinds of obstacles in their space battle and they were losing two other battles on Naboo that added to the tension. Just felt like no one to connect to in the space battle, nor got the sense they were losing and facing unbeatable odds (could have been the music, maybe I have to see it again to be sure - I mean Han just died too!).

Second viewing was significantly better - you all should stop whining and go again. The ******** in here is unbearable....

Starting to agree. Ultimately, this is a kids movie, tis the season to lighten up.
