I wonder how many angry Freaks are going to corner the SSC VIP's at ComiCon regarding these atrocious paint issues? It's pretty obvious now that we are not going to continue to accept that kind of quality from them any longer. They have always been deceptive with their pre-order prototypes but the difference here has never been more blatantly obvious. The product shown and the product received are completely different items markedly contrasted in terms of quality and materials used on the costuming and that is called Bait & Switch, pure and simple. Man, the quality this year has really taken a collosal nose-dive. What the hell is going on over there? I'd return my Faramir with a Toy Biz figure switched out instead and see if they even notice a difference. Judging from their (lack of) quality control, they wouldn't.

I'm gonna ask about what happened with Faramir. But bait and switch & deceptive? That's just plain ****ing stupid talk. There's no other way to describe it when someone says that. People that say that are just trying to stir things up because they have nothing else more intelligent to say.

Yeah, I'd expect that kind of response from you Josh. Sideshow could s#!t out a Chewbacca that looks like a turd and you'd still be singing the praises of the allmighty SSC while drinking your kool-aid.

Did ya miss me saying how I felt about Faramir? However, the crap from your last post is nothing but that crap. You're so far up Medicom, HT, etc ass you can't breathe. I may be drinking the SS kool-aid but you and several others here are doing the same thing with Medicom or HT. So if you wanna call me a spade I'm calling you one right back.

Don't like the way I collect. Ask me if I give a damn!

I have NEVER endorsed Medicom. Ask any Medikommie here about that.

Tell you what Josh, how about we settle this at ComiCon. Mono e mono. Sideshow booth. Main Event. Be there. :lol

You 2 are funny.

With every new SS item that ships we(the freaks) get to watch Josh and Dave have the EXACT same argument over and over.

You guys should have your own thread to blast at each other.

Leave it out of the figure threads.

Yeah, gonna waste good Comic-Con time on you. Sure that'd be worth the trip out there. Ya can't miss me though. :)

I really don't think that SSC is purposely putting out faulty product or doing any sort of "bait and switch" at all. We all know that the proto won't be what we get.... It should never be this bad, but it's not like SSC planned it that way or anything.

And man... it must be in guys named Josh DNA to have disagreements with guys named Dave from time to time....:lol

Quality hasn't dropped off and not gotten better... it's had ups and downs. Yavin Luke seemed rushed, and probably was... just to have it ready for the Convention.. So I can understand that a little.

Faramir, is a problem with their Paint factory and QA dept. Is it a problem? Yes. But it's not a conspiracy or planned by SSC. Maybe they just need to handle things a little more intimately or have a more intense QA dept....

But things haven't been getting worse with each one....

But you just hit the nail on the head. Quality control and factory paint issues that have been problematic since how long? Why couldn't they have resolved these issues? That's just disservicing the customer by not fixing the problem at the source. They let it go and then something else gets rushed and this is what happens every time.

Really, what this figure has shown is that we, the customer, care intensely about these figures and want them to have a high level of quality. Yet, with these paint apps upon receiving said figures, it's damaging to SSC and the fanbase. If they don't do something about it, people will go elsewhere for the figures and SSC will lose business. So to fix that and make the fans happy, something must be done to avoid these things in the future. If that means higher prices or whatever..... we the fans will accept it, as long as we start getting the quality we deserve and crave. :lecture

At least we can both agree 110% on that.

Well, after seeing it in these images, I have a little white to add to one of his eyes, plus I need to pick up some glossy to coat his eyes with for some shine, but here is my repainted Faramir. You can read about this and see progress images in my customs thread.

Finally opened it up and took a few snaps. It's not as bad as I was reading it was, but yah, it could be a lot better. It's not as bad as Yavin Luke though. Whew!
