The Great FARAMIR Image Thread!!!

Nice pics! Yeah the paint apps don't look too bad on yours. I didn't think mine looked as bad as some of the ones poeple on here have shown but some of the repaints of farimir people have gotten make my look worse.

Here are a couple of pictures of my Faramir repaint. I got an extra head & body from Toyanxiety.com, since I was a little nervous about just repainting the figure. Below is my original Faramir, but it's pretty much like the one I repainted. It's by far the worst painted Sideshow figure I have, mostly because of the choice of color, not technique. He's blonde, for crying out loud!

And here is the repaint. The skin tone turned out quite a bit more pink than Sideshow's stuff, so while this looks good on its own, it seems a little out of place next to other SS figures.

Even with the slightly pinkish complexion, your repaint looks great. He looks much better than the stock paint apps. You managed to bring out the good sculpt that is underneath that paint. Good job.

the hair color definently looks much closer to the films and yeah you are right about him looking a little pink but hey he's out in the sun all day right and since his hands are gloved it's not like there's anything else to call out skin tone. That's a nice repaint.

I'll have to say that the sculpt on this one really doesn't look much like the actor. Here's a link to a wallpaper I found with a bunch of different pictures of him from the movie:

Compare any of these to the original or any of the repaints and the face just seems off. Actually, when I look at my own repaint in person, it looks more like Sean Bean than David Wenham, which I find interesting.

I'd like to see that. Although I would argue that if it takes a master painter for it to look like the subject, it's not an amazing sculpt.

Finaly today after 5 months of waiting
my Faramir exclusive arrives.

Thank to Angie Adkins (Sideshow Europe) she did a hell of
a job to find my package back. It was lost by Parcelforce or GLS.
