I'm looking forward to see what poeple can do with Faramir. Darren has my Aragorn for a repaint right now (which I can't wait for) and I thought that would be my only repaint but I'm wavering a little bit with Faramir. Like the Captain said it's a great sculpt.

If you can afford it, got for the repaint, he's a really nice figure, he's just drowing til someone throws him a life vest.

He really is gorgeous; once I get better pictures of Les' work you'll see how marvelous that sculpt is, let alone the costume which is second to nothing.

On a side note, I finally found the same fabric used for his cloak in just the exact shade of green I've been looking for. Time to find a sewing machine! Luckily it should be super easy; all I have to do is make an exact copy of the included one and put some wire in. Then Faramir will be complete!

Too bad Boromir's cloak is so much more involved; it's taking a bit more time then I thought it would because of the wooly fabric.

My Faramir head is currently "in cue" in the paintshop of the great Josh Church aka DarkArtist81!!! :rock

Having seen what Josh can do in hand, he's in good hands, not that you could really doubt him from his pictures, but photos certainly don't do him true justice.

My contribution....
Not sure you can tell form the pics, but his costume was weathered quite a bit.

...either way, both Les' AND Mikey's repaints are KILLER! :chew

It really is nice when we get to see a character as seen through the eyes of several different artists. That is what gets me excited about these image threads and the repaints that eventually come from them. Mikey and Les did truly fantastic work here, as they always do. I can't wait to finally finish my own so that I may add to the "pile"... so to speak.

It's a great figure once you clean up the mess that was the head paint apps on it. This is my repaint I did back when he first started shipping.

I am still waiting for my Faramir,
Sideshow has send it to me when i was on holliday the 20th of july.
And GLS has send it back to Sideshow. And now almost
3 months later i am still waiting for this great 12" figure.

I have send Sideshow emails but they can't send it to me becouse
the package is not returned jet.

And than i must pay an other 37$ shipping.

So this Faramir is now almost 150 Euro for me.

Thanks Parcel Foce and GLS for this great service !

3 Months wait is a real bummer! Have you contacted GLS and asked them by which service they returned the parcel? Surely time must be up on this package and it be declared lost in transit and compensation paid out. This would enable Sideshow to despatch you another.

Worth a try?

I have contacted GLS, but GLS has told me that only Sideshow can contact them for this re-send information.

Captain until you posted the first pictures of your repainted Faramir I wasn't unhappy with mine, granted the paint job could have been better but I wouldn't have called it bad (I don't know if I just got a good one or my standards aren't as high). Now every time I see it I just think yes that's how they should have painted him and why didn't they do it like that.

I was the same way; I would have lived with it and been ok, but now that I have the figure in hand, I perceive that it would have been treachery to my Faramir-fandom to have accepted anything less. Les is the Master--I keep waiting for this guy to walk off my shelf, he's just that real looking! I'll get more pics up as soon as I can, because really, a thousand photos wouldn't do it justice.

No doubt Ed. My Faramir didn't just have bad paint apps but when I took the head off to send to DarkArtist the paint on his eyebrows and chin rubbed right off. Just an all the way around paint production job nightmare.
