Yes go see the movie, you get to see Mexicans hanging from trees. I'm Mexican and I was ok with it. A black kid even gets shot. :lol

I be mexican as well and have no problem with seeing other mexicans dieng...... i'm going to wait untill it hits dvd but will go see the hulk and kunfu pandah w/the wife and kids.........:D

thanks for the warning Mike. i haven't been a big fan of M. Night since Unbreakable... i utterly hated that movie. Signs was a great recovery... but the Village is what completely discredits him for good. this looked interesting the first two times i saw the preview, but after that i kept thinking how much he sucks.

His only good movies IMO are the sixth sense and unbreakable....

the lame twist in the Village has tainted my perception of him forever ............. but Im still embarrassingly curious about each of his films when they come out just hoping for another homerun....

I loved signs , loved unbreakable , loved lady in the water , thought the village was craptacular and loved the sixth sense . What else has he done ? :lol

I'm looking forward to seeing this though .
I hope its not another village.

I actually liked the twist in The Village.

after his other movies I was a big fan.
They always ended with some sort of bang , SPOILERS AHEAD FOR OLDER MOVIES.

For example in the sixth sense it turns out Bruce is a ghost.

In signs the alien is in the front room holding the kid and all his visions and what Gibsons wife said suddenly all makes sense.

Then in the village it just didn't seem as spectacular to me. :monkey2
It was good I guess but totally unlike his others.
I would of enjoyed it alot more if I wasn't familiar with his earlier work.

just a let down for monster lovers....
SPOILERS as well........

I just felt the reveal of who the monsters were felt comparable to the director telling "CUT!!" and the actor taking his monster costume off.....
we KNOW theres a guy in a monster suit to make the movie, lets not make it PART of the movie :lol

I actually though that it was creepier because you knew it was someone from the village in the suit.

I actually liked the twist in The Village.

I liked the second twist (that they were actually in modern times in a wildlife preserve). Didn't like the first twist that the 'elders' were actually 'Those we don't speak of'

I still enjoy The Village but it's by far my least favorite and the only one I don't own.

I think me and my friend are set on seeing Hulk tonight but I still plan on seeing this in the theater.

maybe Im just tainted from the big childhood Santa Clause reveal ... .:lol

I didn't even consider the first twist a twist. I didn't think for a second there were actually monsters in the woods.

Yeah I admit that movie pretty much just sucked ass! I do think he's got a creative mind but its almost like a Stephen King movie, the book is great but the movies usually blow.

The thing I never understood about The Village is why the adults were speaking in such an old fashioned manner. That never made any sense to me other than it was a lazy way of trying to keep the audience from figuring the plot out.

I do like Signs, so I correct my earlier comment, this douche has only made 2 good movies.

Yep he is a one trick pony. When I watched the village I told my wife the ending 10 minutes into it. Sure enough I was correct. They say this one is the same way. I will save my coppers and give it a rent.
