This film certainly has the least amount of advertising of all the Jackson Tolkien films IMHO . I think at the very least the trailers should have been out in full force since may/june

I don't know about that and I don't think they've ever hammered stuff I to the ground like that. You want to strike in a short burst with fil,s that have name recognition.

I knew these movies were not going to be as epic as LOTR. But i can't help but feel a tad disappointed in the two movies so far. Oh well, here's hoping this is the best of the three. I will literally probably not watch the other's ever again like i can LOTR over and over.

I feel the same way. AUJ was good but desaulation left me wanting more. Nothing can ever touch the glory of the original trilogy. Hope TaBA had less filler and more original Tolkien lore.

I liked when Azog (character which shouldn't be a part of "The Hobbit") threw Tauriel (made up character) against a wall.

Nah,

Tolkien's LOTR couldn't been handled or come out any better than how they did, the EEE will just be icing on the cake.

LOTR are the greatest, truly most epic movies ever made, even with the changes made from the books.

Sure, Hobbit was messed with even more so, had to stretch them into 3 movies afterall.

But Tolkiens family should be proud with how things were handled "overall".

I don't think his son Chris will ever like anything. He's highly protective and a bit of a fuddy duddy. I would like to think Professor Tolkien would be pleased overall with things but I doubt he would be rolling in his grave. Comments like that I find to be a bit silly but to each their own. As far as all the films go from a fans perspective it varies. I know some Middle-earth fans who aren't happy all the way to super pleased with it. I love the LOTR films they're some of the best films I've ever seen and made an impact on me as a person with some of the themes within them. The Hobbit films I love them. They're not quite as good as the LOTR films are but I never expected them to be. At the end of the day as someone who puts a lot of time into this subject, collects it, etc I'm very pleased with the films so far.
