Re: The Hobbit: There and Back Again

Will they show Gollum again since Jackson split the HOBBIT into three parts?

Re: The Hobbit: There and Back Again

I don't think so. According to Andy Serkis what we've seen is what we get from Gollum.

I figured, it's been a while since I read the books, but I think Gollum is an afterthought after Bilbo steals the ring and leaves his cave.

I have to research the book again.

Re: The Hobbit: There and Back Again

They could show Gollum leaving the mountain to begin his search for the ring. I just don't think they'll show that.

Re: The Hobbit: There and Back Again

I can't think of any reason why Gollum would need to appear again, but you never know.

You know Hollywood, anything to please the fans.

How about a deleted Director's cut scene where the very last moment of this film you see a dark image in the distance with an eerie themed background music moment and then you hear the infamous words...

MMYYYY PRECIOUSSSSS.....WHERE IS MY PRECIOUSSSS!

and then the quick fade to black, followed by the credits

Re: The Hobbit: There and Back Again

I agree but if they slipped in just a quick far out scene of him leaving I wouldn't freak out.

I want a post-credits scene of Gollum weeping like a whipped puppy in his cave. Then Nick Fury can show up and say something badass, like, "You've lost something. I can set you on the path to finding it again."

Fade to black...

Re: The Hobbit: There and Back Again

If Arwen could summon a wave of water to drown the Nazgul, imagine what Galadriel could do. :galadriel

In the book Elrond did that not Arwen. No way IMHO Arwen could do what daddy did. Tolkien made her a pretty princess protected by daddy. Her brothers were kick ***

Holy Crap!:horror Can you imagine if Thanos got his hands on The One Ring. The Infinity Gauntlet on his left hand and The One Ring on his right.:rotfl

Pretty much. Though to be fair in the book it was actually Elrond and it looked like horses because of Gandalf.

This is a movie thread and Arwen raised the water at the Ford of Bruinen! :lecture :moon

F'n book snobs! :read :lol

I figured we'd see Gollum at some point on the journey home. That's as good a way to do it as any.

Re: The Hobbit: There and Back Again

I was thinking that would be perfect for a one time only bonus scene after the credits of TABA.

That would work.

Re: The Hobbit: There and Back Again

Do we really know what's going to be on the end of this movie? We may have something that ties all the movies together. We just don't know. Gollum doing something would be great.

Re: The Hobbit: There and Back Again

Mark my word:
Tauriel will die, along with you-know-who-else

*not spoiler, just speculation

If you didn't read the book, don't read this.....

I have to wonder if the deaths that happen in the book will happen in this movie. Kili has already been shot in the leg and helped by Tauriel. The ponies were suppose to be killed by Smaug, yet they had them return to Beorn. I have to wonder if Kili, Fili and Thorin will actually die. If any of them die, I suspect it will just be Thorin.

Re: The Hobbit: There and Back Again

I think this would serve as a perfect tie-in.

Re: The Hobbit: There and Back Again

I suppose at the very end they could do some kind of bridging montage that spans the 60 years between the trilogies. That way they'd be able to shoehorn in some more cameos. I'm not saying I want them to, but they could.

(I'm still not convinced they won't try to sneak Aragorn into the third movie somewhere. He's alive during the timeline ... and it just feels like something Jackson would try to do. Just saying. Again, not my preference, but I can see them doing it.)

Maybe him and Gandolf searching for Gollum? Didn't they do that?

Viggo was game I heard, but I don't think it happened. But who knows. They don't always tell the truth because of too many people spoiling things.
