Yeah, same here. I love how Smaug's voice, especially one "Come now don't be shy" will sound awesome in a theatre.

Yeah, I love his voice. It sounds very similar to how I had it in my head as far as the arrogant tone.

I expect it will be. I'm hoping this will be the best looking dragon we've seen in a movie.

I want to see a cool Smaug movie banner/poster but I'm guessing if we do indeed see anything of Smaug it will be in the weeks leading up to the films release.

I'd say the first look we see won't be until the movie. No chance they show him until then.

Anyone else think that this might be a look at where the film ends, Thorin is wearing a new armoured outfit that seems rather regal, maybe after they drive Smaug out/Smaug flies off to laketown the Dwarves will retrieve new armour from Erebor before the battle of the five armies.

It's a fantastic costume regardless of where it fits in.

I expect its probably near the end of the movie. Could be something they get from Laketown before the set off for Erebor.

If that's the case then it's going to be an incredible moment in the cinema.:panic:

I agree. :panic:

I am far more interested in Dol Goldur and Gandalf then Smaug. Then again Gandalf has always been my favorite fictional character.

I've watched the trailer probably ten times now. Gets better with each viewing!

"Well, thief. Wherrre aaarrre youu? Come now, don't be shyyy. Step into the light." :devil

Yeah I think you may be right...this picture just has the 'look' of a final scene about it I think.

I thoroughly enjoyed the first movie. This trailer is fantastic and I can't wait to watch it in the theaters - however, I'm a little concerned about how much liberty has been taken by Jackson & Co. in adapting this to a movie.
