Who hasn't read this book? My point is the story is simple, clear, strong, and potent in that simplicity. Adding a bunch of stuff and filing it with too many effects and side stories is diluding it's strength.

You'd be surprised. I don't think the story was diluted at all if anything it was enhanced on many ways. :dunno

That last trailer was awesome. Looking a lot better than the first film already. Hopefully it will be.

Very anxious to see Smaug's design.

Mine's Shipped from Amazon already!!!

Also, if I can chime in on Azog, I thought his CGI looked every bit as real as Gollum. Personally, I think all the LOTR movies have good CGI bits and Shoddy CGI parts.

The main concern is Smaug. It's essential that he looks really good. I thought he looks pretty good in the first trailer, but of course talk backers on other sites are saying it's the worst thing ever.

I thought Azog was pretty good too, And you make a good point about Smaug.

About the first movie, I seriously never understood why so many people kept hating on Azog and saying it looked so bad, but I never saw as many hate for the Great Goblin which truly looked bad.

The great Goblin and all the other goblins in that cave looked pretty bad to me, But everyone always talks about how bad Azog was....

Never really understood that.

I love those Goblins. Pretty damn good designs I think. I loved that the cgi bits mixed so well with the guys in suits. I am looking forward to Weta making some statues of them.

Now that was a trailer. I'm feeling much better about TDOS now. The tone looks to be more along the lines of LOTR, which is much needed to bring more of an audience in.

I loved the design of the orc being held captive by Thranduil. "The dwarf will never be king. Our time has come again."

And concerning the goblins, I thought they looked great, too. Azog was definitely lacking, but the Goblin King looked about as real as Gollum to me.

that trailer was pretty good. I think I am more excited for this one that I was for the first one. Everything looks so great

Special Edition OST is up on iTunes. You an get the credits song called I See Fire. It's pretty decent. I like it a bit more than the one for AUJ.

Just seen the new trailer! Great stuff!!! Is it December yet??? :impatient: Really cannot wait for this film to come out now....
