I can't post it here but the song for the second movie, "I See Fire" by Ed Sheeran was posted on my Facebook page.

It's okay, but not as good as the closing song in the first movie. I can't find it on youtube yet either.

In looking through his list of songs, he likes the word fire. :lol

It's also on iTunes. I got it last night when I pre-ordered the OST. I like it myself and a bit more than the song for AUJ.

I love all of them. Into The West is my favorite of all of them. I actually like this one more than the one from AUJ more out of the gate.

I actually like the song (just listened to it) but your right. It feels very odd to go with hobbit. Kinda pop song ish but I dig it.

I don't like I see Fire at all. Misty Mountains instantly resonated with me, not this one though.

I never liked Gollum's song from Two Towers either. I much preferred Fellowship's May it be and into the West.

wow..... Gollum's song is one of my favorite songs of all time (I don't mean soundtrack wise, I mean in general)

I really love that song. First time I heard it, it gave me chills.

May It Be = Into the West > Gollum's Song > Song of the Lonely Mountain >>>>> I see Fire

With or without context, there's no chance of me warming up to I See Fire. No biggie though, it's only the credits :wink1:

Gollum's song is awesome, but I'll take an instrumental version, thank you very much. Once Emiliana Torrini starts singing, I'm taken out of the mood and I think of James Bond movies. :lol
