Truly!
Bombur's barrel bouncing around and taking out all the orcs had me in stitches, and then again when he busted his arms out and started doing battle like a crazy tazmanian barrel man from hell.
:lol

I hope somebody makes a statue of that!

Did anyone else get a chuckle out of...

That's my wee lad, Gimli.

If I remember right, TT didn't have as strong of Opening as FoTR did. Nothing to be worried about.

I actually can't wait to see this again. A lot of hate being flung at this movie on other message boards.

Each of the LOTR movies opening was better than that last. Yeah, I think $75 million is still good and its getting good word of mouth.

I haven't seen a lot of hate on the boards I visit. Some hardcore purists are hating it but that's nothing normal. Like I said the word of mouth its getting has been pretty positive.

The Smaug sequences are practically their own movie. Dang I need another fix. :lol

Soooo glad they nailed Smaug. I wonder why they showed that awful close-up of his head looking for Bilbo in that first trailer. The finished version looked a thousand times better.

I'm not sure I can't wait till Christams to see it again. I might have to go next week. :D

Yeah. I need to see it HFR. Then the Blu-ray in April, then the first TABA trailer in May or so. Then the DOS EE in October, and TABA in December. At least there will be a new "fix" of some kind every few months until next Christmas. :)

HFR was pretty cool. I didn't get a headache like last year.

Sure are, mostly by the book "purists". I read where someone called them "internet hipsters". :lol

I've tried to explain to them the difference between making movies and writing books, but they can't comprehend that.

The Hobbit is a children's book written in the 30s. You can't make a good movie out of that book doing it word by word. Sorry, it wouldn't be good and not everyone reads books so you have to cater to those people as well.

And as for this big "romance". I sure didn't see it. It really wasn't a big deal.

Sounds like a plan! :yess:

Read what's posted in the comment sections on Yahoo under their DoS articles.

I hope the EE features more
Bilbo taunting the spiders.

I expect more of that and more of Beorn for sure. I know we're getting Thrain's backstory.

Yeah, just because the two are attracted to each other doesn't make it a romance.
