For those that have seen it, how does it compare to Battle Royale? I keep reading that they are entirely different, but I can't help but think they are identical. Teens thrown into a deathmatch for the whole world to watch.

I might check this out. But I heard something disheartening. It's filmed in that shakey like style. And all the action scenes are close ups, confusing, Nolan-esq, Bourne-esq, fight scenes.

Which I hate. But we'll see. If it's a good flick, then that'll be whatever.

And it also seems like you need to read the book before it.

so does amateur porno. :lol

Except in Battle Royale the world doesn't watch...

The only thing they have in common is kids in a fight to the death with kids. The reasons for the fight aren't the same, the outcome isn't the same, the interactions with the kids aren't the same - it's a very different movie.

I can live with shaky cam for a little while.. glad to hear people like it. Maybe I will try to see it this weekend. And its always funny to hear people compare it to Twilight. Pretty much the only thing they have in common is there are teenage kids in both.

I find that people who compare The Hunger Games to Twilight haven't read any the books.

As someone who never read the book, Hunger Games was an enjoyable movie.

I always liked Battle Royale so I went in expecting high similarity. The basic concept is the same. Dystopian society, round up kids, have them combat in an arena. But the story execution is different enough that they're both good and deliver different spins on a very similar premise.

Really wish iTunes would put the original score up for download. Would prefer to not have to order the cd from amazon.

Really looking forward to 8:30 tonight. :rock

PS: 14 chapters into book two an I really hate president snow. I want to see him stabbed in the throat.

Thanks. I might consider it.

I enjoy hes videos. I agree must of the time with hes reviews.

Different stokes for different folks I guess. I wouldn't trust his opinion and I don't think he has a clue as to what he's taking about. If people like him more power to them.
