Yea, not sure I want to spend the extra money on it - post IMAX just isn't the same, much like post 3D.

The books are VERY dark.

I felt like the 2nd book was the darkest; as a 5th grade teacher, I try to read all of the crazy-popular young-adult books so I know whether or not to let my high readers get them. I read the first book IN A SINGLE DAY during Christmas break. I am letting my GATE students read it before school during literature circles (three students) and I called all three parents to inform them of the violence and get permission first. However, I don't think I will let them read the 2nd book because the violence and other mature content was ramped up dramatically.

I just googled it and the rights to the film were bought by lions gate. I remember watching it saying this is how the movie should be. Looks like lions gate agreed.

It did but that was a powerful little sequence and the song worked great in it. Really excited to see this movie next week.

I was also surprised that there were no actors from the film on any of the late night talk shows this week - instead, Ferrell was on two for that goofy looking Mexican comedy. I'm assuming they'll be making the rounds next week.

They sure caused an uproar when they showed up here in Seattle last week. They may not be on tv but they are getting around for publicity.

I finished the book on Monday, and really surprised by how much I liked it. I will most definitely be seeing the movie when it comes out.
