Saw this today - I really had no interest in it, but the reviews pushed me over. The lead is in the cancelled TV show The Unusuals and I like him a lot. Cameos from big actors like Guy Pearce and Ralph Fiennes were surprising too.

I really, really liked this film - the tension and different perspectives of the 3 main characters really covers the gamut of emotions and conveys them all to the audience. I can't recommend this film enough.

Jeremey Renner was also in 28 Weeks Later and yes he really is a likeable actor. He has a certain charm and charisma to him that makes him enjoyable to watch.

It was between this and Moon on Saturday, I really wanted to see both but wound up watching Moon. I'm definitely going to see Hurt Locker this weekend.

Man, that looks great! And Renner has been one of my favorite newer actors, so it's great to see him have something to use as a platform. Like Ill said, he's a likable actor with solid charisma.

I hope it comes out somewhere near here, no small movies ever make it out here to the boonies. :monkey2

:rock on man, once again you show good taste in flicks!

I wouldn't worry too much about it not playing near you, movies that are in very limited release usually make it to Blu-Ray/DVD a lot faster than movies in wide release. So hopefully you won't have too long to wait.

Looks really well done, I was not too big a fan of JarHead but, from viewing this trailer..i have to say that i have not looked more forward to a modern warfare movie since Black Hawk Down.

This isn't as action packed as BHD, but I thought it was a much better film.

yeah, i'm really looking forward to this.

many male directors have a lot to learn from kathryn bigelow on how "real" action movies should be done. hacks like michael bay, for example. relying on fast-cuts and shaky cam all the time is NOT exciting or thrilling to watch. what makes action engaging is by creating a genuine sense of peril for the characters.

which, from what i've heard/read so far, hurt locker does in spades.

Yes, it's more suspense than action - but it's definitely a nail-biter.

Are movies like this and Michael Bay movies really even in the same catagory?

This film is finally opening in Denver on Friday. I've been dying to see it. Friday can't come soon enough.

Yeah, you speak the truth bro. :duff

I'm hoping it plays nearby, they are playing commercials here on TV...which was a shocker.

This movie won't reach ^^^^ty denmark until late november. By that time, it will already be out on DVD in the states.... and in my DVD collection :lol
