Ugh first day back in 8 years working 9-5. We had our hours changed since the work wasn't getting done... but I don't know how were supposed to get the work we used to get done with 3 people... when we used to have 10, and they never replaced them when they retired/transferred. So now I'll be spending less time with my wife and I hardly see her as it its.

I'd imagine permanent. And it's the type of thing we'd never get back once it's changed. We got a new director to our department about a year or so ago and he's wanted it changed for quite some time, when the last guy is the one that started it in the first place.

Raises in here? :lol

I'm tired of being held to a different standard than these two other ******* in here are the same pay grade is me basically and I only make a bit more and I'm expected to do all the heavy lifting... so during my performance evaluation I'm bring it up.

My boss is a ****, and she just wants to paper the office with her little girlfriends, that don't contribute at all.

"Wage gap." Kiss my ***.

My wife and I lived together for years barely seeing each other. We finally decided we had to start looking at options so we could make a change. It's tough to change a career or move, but sometimes it's necessary--and easier for us because we didn't own a house or have kids. Not everyone can do it, but sometimes the stars align and everything clicks into place the way you want it. Just have to keep your eyes open and jump on the opportunity if it pops up.

Yeah I stay on our job openings, but either I'm not qualified or it's less money. She's getting antsy about having children, and me to a degree. I don't want to me 60 years old with a ****ing teenager.

No ****. One of my friends had two kids real close to each other, and he'll be almost 60 when they both graduate. **** trying to help kids with college when you're almost retirement age. Another one of my friends did the same thing, but she'll be 55 when the first one graduates--which is a bit more manageable. Not that I think people should have kids in their young 20's, but you definitely don't want to have one too late or it'll **** you later in life.

My 1/12 Synthetic Human finally arrived.

Somewhat mitigates my saltiness over missing out on the 1/6 versions, it's an astonishing little figure and gloriously creepy.

Watch out for tornadoes tonight, Zod

We didn't end up getting much of anything over here. Wind was bad, but nothing serious.

That is a little creepy :lol Looks really good though, especially for that scale.

Glad nothing happened to you guys down south.

That figure looks crazy articulated. I'm glad the 1/12 market is exploding. For far too long it's been pretty mediocre.

Just had my 10th yearly performance evaluation. Finally got "exceeds expectations" for my work ethic (unless you're the supervisors pet, I've never seen a regular employee get one). Hopefully that leads to the bump in pay I was banking on. Nothing major, but I won't sneeze at it.

Every five years we get a higher increase of pay on our hire date, so it would be nice to get that, and then get that promotion in a short time frame.

nicely done dude! congrats!:clap

you should buy a container of this and keep it on your desk in plain view to see if any of your chicky co-workers catch the drift! lol

:lol my boss is alright, the problem is she's too friendly with her little girlfriends she keeps adding to this office and she's not objective and critical enough to be a fair boss.

She got to where she's at since she had her nose firmly planted in another supervisor's ***. We started both in the same office, although she's been here several years before me.
