Man, this thing is HUGE. $1400 though so I'm not getting it.

I wish Prime would hurry up and show their Jim Lee Batman and Superman statues and their Keaton Batman. Plus, if they're taking requests, I want a damn Christopher Reeve in 1/3 or 1/2 scale.

I love their Freeze--if it were 1/4 scale I'd grab it. At 1/3 scale I don't know where I'd put it. It's 3' high and 2.5' deep. I don't even have a shelf that would fit on. :lol

I gather they would probably do a better job on that one considering his helmet is part of him and his face isn't entirely visible.

That's why I'm looking forward to them hopefully doing a Berserk Armor Guts--it'll probably come with a plain HS, a half helmet one, and the full helmet. I'm still tempted by the regular Guts statue though. It has issues, but I think it's pretty impressive. Just wish the damn thing wasn't $1k. If it were $600-700 I probably would have already ordered it.

Yeah Berserker would be hard to mess up. I just hope it would have a good pose. Maybe it roaring with the Dragonslayer.

BTW I still recommend you read Vagabond whenever you can. If you love Guts, you'll love Musashi. Two of the biggest badasses in all of Manga. I plan on re-reading it at some point this year.

It's a very different experience from Berserk, but shares some similarities in the sense that both Guts and Musashi both want to find meaning in their lives, but Vagabond takes it to it's fullest extent. It's essentially all about self growth and finding purpose. The whole Manga is based on the novel "Musashi" written by Eiji Yoshikawa who wrote it about his entire life. While the Manga takes liberties with his life and his duels, it's made very interesting with all the characters being very fleshed out. No wasted chapters.

The real Musashi was a God of combat. Had 60 duels, and never lost.

My wife got it for me for Christmas but I haven't started it yet. It's 984 pages, so I'm intimidated to say the least to start it :lol

I own volumes 1-9 (there's 12 volumes currently) of the Viz Big editions of the Manga since the singlets are hard to find and expensive, and plus these are cheaper and have three volumes in one. What I dig about them is that they the spines form a picture of all the characters, starting with a young Musashi.

This isn't mine, just found one in Google.

That set of books is awesome. I got a set of Sin City books that do that as well. I love when they do that--as long as they continue doing it for the entire series and don't decide to change up the design.

Not my pic, but here is the set

Yeah I love that stuff. Gives even more incentive to collect them.

The first one I've ever seen do that was the Dragonball series.

Unfortunately, I boxed up my books to make room for my display shelves. I need a bigger house with more wall space so I can have figures, statues, and books on shelves and still have wall space for prints. Something along the lines of this:
